At the European Championship this is possible, but at the Russian Championship - no way, especially for Andrei, who is not one of the favorites. The level of competition here is quite different.Mozalev looked like he was still recovering in the Nationals, his 3A is often q'd and shows are better for him anyway, because jumps are not his forte. Anyway, I think it is the right decision by his team not to enter it and continue working on other things. Look at Selevko and Rizzo medalling with a single 4T at Eu.
However, I expect some good news in the near future, that's why I react so calmly to this situation. And Andrei is optimistic and doesn`t regret skipping the jumping tournament, he is focused on achieving some other goals.
It's all to his benefit.
