2023-24 Japanese Junior Nationals

The 92nd All Japan Junior Figure Skating Championships (第92回全日本フィギュアスケートジュニア選手権大会) also known as the 2023-34 Japanese Junior National Figure Skating Championships, will take place Nov 17-19, 2023, in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture, at the Kinoshita Kanse Ice Arena.

*Adding: this competition has one more title JOC Junior Olympian Cup, and serves as the final selection competition for Team Japan (figure skating) to the upcoming Youth Olympic Game 2024, as well as one of the selection competitions to JWC in 2024.

Mao Asada was invited to 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 season Sr Nat when she was still competed Novice A.
Age rule was changed sometime before younger Mao appears.

ETA: Satoko Miyahara finished 4th 2009-2010 and 4th again 2010-2011 JrNat when she was invited from Novice A.
Both season she did not compete SrNat and lower Jr finisher were invited.
So rule change was done sometime between 2003 to 2009.

In 2007, while Novice A Champion, Yuzuru Hanyu placed 3rd at Junior Nationals but due to his age he was ineligible to compete at Senior Nationals so the 4th place Junior Man was invited instead
