I totally forgot about Andy and Adele. Balancing college with skating is difficult, so I hope Andy will manage it well. Chapa (of Taich/Chapa novice pairs team) is also balancing college with skating and Chapa said he is trying to schedule his classes during the day so he can skate in the afternoon.
There's a new addition to the ISP - Park, Audrey / Griffin, Carter. While they scored really well in their last NQS, they didn't get the minimum TES score in their NQS competition to qualify for the ISP. But pairs is the only discipline where you can submit a video of your practice for evaluation for the ISP (unlike other disciplines where you have to do it in a competition)
Cayla Smith/Jared McPike is going to make their debut in Boston NQS. They got together only this June and they had to rush programs, albeit watered down versions, to just get a score in the NQS. Jared competes novice men in singles and was intermediate pairs last year. Where to train is a tough issue for them as Jared lives and trains in Colorado Springs while Cayla is in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. And since Jared is homeschooled while Cayla is in school, their initial 50-50 arrangement for training has become 100% training in Ft. Wayne
Today's the free skate of pairs in Broadmoor. Exciting to watch!
