dropped off the podium... not so good i would say...

Eh, I'd say it was an ok skate for her standards even though she dropped a few places. Lia is unfortunately just not a strong Free Skate skater.

Her more difficult triples just aren't stable enough and she can't avoid them in the Free like she can (and does) in the Short.

she may be commentating for tv... but i am not sure. Ted could have brought in anyone else really... what about Dylan ?

She is doing tv, she said so on Twitter.

But then there's Canadian Tire. They do sell recreation-level skates and hockey equipment, so it's not as bad a fit as it would be if it was just tires.

Skaters, their parents and fans do a lot of driving.

Yeah, it's odd that pairs is the only discipline without two commentators.

Ted mentioned that they were going to try for a pairs commentator next time. I enjoy the Ted + expert format. It's especially nice to have different people.

With lack of training time when doing two disciplines, I also thought she did well and it wasn't a (huge) disappointment.

That was surprisingly good for a new team. I didn't expect the twist to be that good. The lifts were secure. They can jump. Dying to see them in seasons to come.

Emmy and Nic have so much potential and this was a really good skate for them.

Yes, the lifts are still a bit scary from time to time and there are still some issues that just come from inexperience, and they don't have the full difficulty in throws and sbs jumps yet, but they're clearly working on it and are improving at each competition.

Pretty good for such a new team, and of course Nic is so charismatic, still.

I am so happy to see Nic elated and excited. He had it rough with injury and i have seen him angry and upset, and disappointed in the KNC before.. This is nice !
