Hang on. Are these two trolling us? These skaters representing Kazakhstan are both from Moscow.

Yet that programme was so French I was suprised that there were no baguettes or strings of onions!

Mind you, although wild, their costumes didn't quite reach French Ice Dancer levels of wildness.

Am I the only one thinking that they bought a matching skirt and blouse set, but Ivan took the blouse and Eva took the skirt?

And brown trousers are always a no-no.

But the skating wasn't so bad.

After being bottom in the Short, they go into the lead of the Free and overall.

I don't think the skirt and blouse look anything alike. She looks adorable and her skirt moves prettily when she spins. Don't get the leopard print on him. He biffed the twizzles but they were otherwise neat and the skating was rather small.

Shush! I made a right fool of myself yesterday by not realising that!

He is! Although it's spelt Edrian. I wonder if they have sibling/s with names starting with 'E' too.

At least both of them are using their middle names (Edrian Paul and Earl Jesse). So, we are unlikely to have the confusion that we get with all the skaters called A. Vlasenko / Vlascenko.

I know I've told this story many times, but I have a cousin whose children all have names starting with the letter "A" (his name starts with "C", and his wife's starts with "L"). And the kids get referred to collectively as "The A Team".

They were good.

They had a big advantage over the partnerships in the previous group from the Short, so they unsurprisingly take the lead in both the Free and overall.

Another Finnish lesson I like put between conversations. Emo in Finnish is a an animal mother in English.
