Iirc, it was after Repond's switch was made public.
Anyway, soon Huth will have the whole Swiss team collected in Oberstdorf.
Livia Kaiser is waiting on the doorstep

Seriously though, she would actually fit right in. She gives a little Kostner vibe as well.

(Ok, now maybe now I move on from discussing Swiss skaters in the German thread šŸ¤)

The ice becomes a little bit crowded, there are only 3 x 50 min per day for the internatinal skaters - (or they have access to the ice paid by German/ Bavarian Fed, I don*t know). In the meantime there are at least: Lea Serna FRA, Davide Lewton Brain MON, Noah Bodenstein SUI, partly Kimmy Repond SUI, Stefanie Peisendorfer AUT, Anastasia Brandenburg SUI, I am not sure about Lukas Brischgi (Huth/Oberstdorf is not in his ISU Bio anymore), Alexia Paganini ? Huth is still in her ISU Bio. I think it is really remarkable that so many Suiss Skater are located in Oberstdorf with Huth while Swiss Ice Skating has Stephane Lambiel as National Coach - even when I personally prefer Huth's jumping technique.

I don't think Alexia is with Huth any longer. I read somewhere on here that he wanter her to choose between ice shows and competitions, and I guess she went with ice shows...

Nebelhorn entries are out and Janse van Rensburg/Steffan are apparently not competing...

Alexia Paganini is no longer with Michael Huth. He have her a choice between continuing with ice shows or continuing with him and stopping doing ice shows. It was announced that she's left, but I don't remember where to link it for you.

Maybe Jenny's tumble at Test Skates did have a bigger impact than initially hoped for? They said they'd still be at Nebelhorn, but that was directly afterwards.

(Interesting though that the only two ice dance teams who seem to be out with injuries currently- JvR/S and Schubert/Remeshevskyi - have the same coach.)

Yeah I thought of that too. That's the only thing that makes sense to me...

Is it the coach allegations have been made against, or a different one?
Different one. All of the teams named shared a coach with Grimm/Savitskiy until recently. He said he stopped working with G/S, but now his other students aren't showing up at competitions they were supposed to be entered in. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.

Caruso's (and Tweedale's) teams are still on the entry lists for their Challengers and JGPs.

Big coincidence if you ask me. But I guess we'll never know.

I hope itĀ“s a big coincidence, the absence of Reitan/Majorov can be explained with that are not really having residence in Oberstdorf anymore, as they have moved to Sweden officially and belongs to the Norrkƶping club due to Milla getting Swedish citizienship. However, from the looks of it they seem to have spent a lot of time in Oberstdorf this summer, but they were just in Sweden for test skates. Nebelhorn Trophy would still be like home ice for them, so I was half expecting them to be there.

Maybe they feel they need more time before the season starts and will do Finlandia Trophy instead, a little bit closer to Sweden. Nikolaj did post a story this summer that he was working night shifts again, and recently he has done a lot of photo/video content for the German team, so he has seemed very busy with work. Maybe they will have a later start because they have concentrated on getting in money for funding. They really did not have many competitions under their belt last season and they still managed to do a clean RD at Worlds. so iĀ“m not so worried about a late start but it would be nice for them to go to competitions where they collect some important ranking points, particularly itĀ“s going to be important this season because they really want to qualify for the free at Worlds to get that olympic spot. Maybe they will do more senior B events this season?

They seemed to be in real good terms with their coach at Worlds, so I do not feel something has happen there, but with the absence of the two teams and the situation with G/S you really start to wonder if the conflict was just not related to them and the coach.

Hopefully just a big coincidence!

From Ulanovsky's insta, Genrikh landed a fine 4Lz in training in Riga today. Will they go for a JGP debut with a bang and put it in the FS?

I won't be able to watch the SP live, but I'll join in the fun and excitement on Saturday.

Good luck to all the German competitors! šŸ€
