I'm happy that he found an expensive quad he is comfortable with. His 4Lo is beautiful but there was something like mental block. And his 4Lz technique is just bad.

4S and StSq are just a fluke. I'm pretty sure they just remove this sliding.

I really enjoyed the Men competition. Russian Men are probably my favorite skating as a whole and it seems competition is only getting stronger and I find myself with even more skaters to root for every time Really looking forward to the FS tomorrow!!

Btw, about Nikolay, is this his first senior season? It seems to me that every season there is a skater that comes out of nowhere (to me ) with really big tech / performances and I'm left wondering how could it be that I'd never heard of them Same happened last year with Vlad

Mark has a pretty good knack for saving things even when they are virtually hopeless. A very important strength that has saved him many times, even at the Olympics

I didn't follow Chen's career very closely or frequently, so I can't say for sure. But for whatever the stream let me see of Mark's program, it didn't feel at all like something Chen would do (I may be wrong though)

OMG, Mukhortova/Evgeneyev are absolute perfection. That was so smooth. Brilliant skating skills.
