It was not a similar event to Channel One Cup but Channel One Cup itself. There was also team Alina.

Novice female skater just got 227 - 5 more than WC Alysa Liu. With much more harsh judging of jumps in that competition, absence of step sequence and extremely low kiddy PCS. Let that sink in

I don't think she is better than Alisik. We could also talk about Kosty or Margo. Of course Kosty was not internationally age eligible and Margo became unstable, but clean she is untouchable by any junior. I also honestly think that e.g. Liza Andreeva would also be scored higher if clean. Mao is very good, of course, but honestly the judging was very favorable towards her and completely overlooked her URs e.g. at junior worlds.
