Yeah, it looks actually scary unlike the backflips of Adam Siao Him Fa or ... Surya Bonaly long time ago. I guess it's that variation on it that we barely saw on the ice.

This one was more Surya style than Adam style. I wish Surya showed Adam how to land the backflip the way that doesn't make my heart drop...
BTW every jump got negative GOE...

I know and Ilia needs to calm down and stop trying to dominate the rest of the field by just plain out jumping them. It can work but he also win with less tech and cleaner jumps and get a high GOE with them. He left 20 whole points on the table with this skate.

I don't see this happening as he wants to be the first to land all quad jumps in the same program. Maybe he will calm down for Worlds in Boston but somehow, i feel that he is very strong minded and will want his name in the record books... Especially since others are starting to pick up more and more quads/fancy combos too.
