Why is Tuktamysheva dressed like a pirate?

Did the teams discuss what order they wanted to jump in for Battle of the Elements? Or did they just go out onto the ice and line up in random order?
I would have discussed putting my "best" and "strongest" jumpers first to get max points before time runs out.

And who decided who was doing their SP program today? Was this also randomly selected? They seemed interested in choosing the girls with the ugliest SP costumes to perform today. (Gushchina, Agaeva)

I like how Tuktamysheva accidentally wasn't looking right at the moment Muravieva fell lol. Tuk should have never looked away! She jinxed it!

Yametova killed it. She should get a gold medal for SP today.

This morning I saw five different reels on my fb of little girls trying to do the Yametova slide. Most were just flopping down into side splits which....isn't....it. You have to go down just far enough to pop back up quickly. A japanese man (Yuma? can't remember) uses her spread eagle stop sequence. The Yametova slide may live on long past Yametova's career, and that is a good thing.

I think only Murakami/Moriguchi did a combo with more points. I don't remember if it was 3S-3T-2A or 3S-3T-2T.

I went to check the BVs and i can't believe a 3S-3T-2A gets less points than 3Lz-2A-2A. Sequences are easier than 3-3s.
That a flaw of the scoring system like for the -3lo combos.
