Gonna go rewatch and scrutinize Kao's SP to find out why he keeps popping that 4T attempt  (he's been doing it all summer)
And regardless of the botched combo I really like how he performs that program...such a Bad-A**

To compartmentalize my pain I have checked out whether Xavier Vauclin is the brother of Ian Vauclin, and while their relationship is unclear (looks like they're brothers but they belong in different clubs?) I did find out that Ian Vauclin is, according to his ISU bio, 2cm tall. No wonder he has not had that much success.

Also, Xavier Vauclin's choreographer seems to be his mother, which is interesting if you consider the feline quality of his SP.

I was about to start going off on the judges for the PCS scores, but I think all of the skaters before the flood just got kind of lowballed and the judges took their happy mushrooms during the break  even the PCS scores between skaters with similar TES scores are super low compared to the group 3 and 4 skaters

Now THAT is a cool last name.
His father (a controversial scholar) was granted political asylum in Sweden as a student and later changed his name to Egyptson. He wanted a Swedish sounding family name that still reflected his heritage. Apparently he had a hard time convincing the authorities who argued that you cannot name yourself after a country 😁

I honestly can't handle more figure skating right now, too much of an emotional burden, but my damn curiosity has to know what music Ro Yongmyong is using that made him wear that costume...

This season started with pain and continues to be pain. I have a low pain threshold. These are the times I blame my darling for being that beautiful and making me keep watching figure skating
Even the most beautiful roses have thorns, protect your soul and simply enjoy what is offered - even if not perfect as careers can be short and fleeting these days

Maybe we should all just have a good cry about figure skating together here in this thread during the next warm-up. I'll start: 😭😭😭
Why are all my skating friends crying - skating life is beautiful, if a bit thorny. Sometimes we get pricked, but we heal because we are made of stronger things and can see the big picture in the tapestry of life.:console::ghug:

apparently while I slept, some brain cells chose to study philosophy... my brain is not normal...
