2024 CS Lombardia Trophy Pairs Short Program

but i don't like this program from our Japanese lovelies. It's like Julie is copying herself with this high energy cover : I had flashbacks of the Oxygène program she did for Deanna and Max... with the intense percussive pondering of the music...

It worked for Deanna and Max... but here, though it's amazing to see how fast RR are going, they do not respond to the music otherwise than with speed...

I thought it was generic... Hopefully, they improve their choreography... the piece right now and their skating are not coming together.... but who cares right when you get 73 points..

I agree, but it's probably just early-season choreographic uncertainty, teams usually rework the program after their first competition and I think this program will be a lot better once they've done more run-throughs and know how to accentuate all of the beats. But the music is so much better than their previous choices and I can see the bones of a really exciting program here.

as i said, if i were in a better mood, I'd probably write what you did LOL :) but for now, I am grumpy cat LOL

They were. I like the first Italian pair's style a lot even if their technical capabilities are a bit lower. The Hungarians are very technically proficient. That program is not to my taste though... The South Africans were also pleasant. I think the french team has a lot of potential. Are they new? I don't remember them. She's definitely beautiful on the ice.

Ghilardi/Ambrosini have always been my favorite Italian pair team. Hate the music but they perform it very well. If they could just land jumps....

I agree with the others that Paint it Black is hardly the best choice for Miura/ Kihara but it is a huge improvement on their previous programs. They are so wonderful but their previous Canadian pair music choices were really bring me to the brink of rooting against them.

Next up my faves , Hocke/ Kunkel... I always like their programs... I hope their program this year is fun...

interesting... so Bruno went away from Julie...for his top pairs.... the same Julie who did programs for last year's world champions.... Interesting...
