In fact, everything about the programme is beautiful. Especially the skating. (I'm pretending the fall was a figment of our imaginations).

Besides Midori Ito, I don't know any of them, so I root for all

Apart from the skaters representing Cyprus and Ireland, I was in the same boat coming into this.

That said, I have since found out that there are some skaters that were pretty successful in their day. The skater that is opening Midori's competition is a former Silver and Bronze Medallist at the Czechoslovak Championships. And one of the younger skaters that was on yesterday finished 7th in the 2015 Japanese Novice A Championships, with all the skaters ahead of her now being familiar faces on the Senior circuit.

I absolutely LOVED THAT!!!!!!

Although, I am sure that Beethoven started rolling in his grave when we switched from the classical version to the rock version.

Never heard this song before (according to a lyrics search, it is "Ashes" by Céline Dion, although it didn't sound like her). But, it really worked for skating to.

Irene HEYROTH (DEU) was wearing all black - dress, tights, flappy things...

A really enjoyable programme.

Aha! There are two skaters in this event called Jana PŘIBYLOVÁ (CZE)

I take it this is the one that was the Bronze Medallist at the 1984-85 Czechoslovak Championships; the Silver Medallist at the 1985-86 Czechoslovak Championships; and the Silver Medallist at 1986 Prague Skate (in the days when there were Senior competitions on the bill, before it became a Junior GP). Not the older skater we saw earlier in the week.

All I can say about that programe to "California Dreaming" is wow!

You can tell we are into former elite level skaters. The standard has just rocketed.

I was trying to find out more about Magdalena HUBER KREDL (CHE) earlier, but couldn't find out anything about her skating career. All I could find out was about her off-ice career.

But, she is good!

I was getting emotional watching that.

The 1989 World Champion wins another title.

It may have been a short competition, but boys it was a quality one.
