Joining in late (I still don't think I am recovered enough but apparently I hate peace and calm), Maddie and Namu did much better today. Good twizzles, he has improved a lot.

Kishimoto/Tamura are a likeable team but not a fan of this FD, too many cuts and the choreo is all over the place... but I do wish them a secure second JGP, man JSF is doing something even KSU doesn't and that is saying something

Now we're talking!!!

Heavy metal to start with, then something more relaxing, then drumming with chimes, then Rihanna!

Like Molly before her, Sara's black dress is absolutely gorgeous (I would say it is right up your street @elektra blue ). And I would wear Atsuhiko's white shirt and black suit!

Ah, that's interesting. Mark told us that Sara used to live in Thailand. So, this is essentially a home event for her.

And now that we know this, you can actually see the influence in her dress. Not so much the colour, but the style of it.

The skating was gorgeous too.

For the past two partnerships, I have thought "new leaders", but have been disappointed.

I won't be this time. If they do not go into the lead, I will riot!

Riot averted! But only just.

They go into 2nd in the FS, but into the lead overall.

I should've gone to a bar and gotten drunk on Margaritas instead of watching figure skating, I regret my life choices. And which Benjamin?

Brisebois

i had pizza and beer... then went to a terrasse for another beer... then went to another terrasse... we need to optimize on outside drinking while it's still possible,

French Ice Dance never ceases to deliver!

I don't know what to say.

Even Cathy is struggling to work it out! :drama:

Into the lead of both FS and overall! :jaw:

No. I preferred the Japanese.

It's a good job that there is a resurfacing now. Time to start my breakfast.

Cathy on screen!!!

But we can barely hear her due to how loud the music in the arena is! :palmf:

And then to compound matters, they forgot to mute the video they are showing of her coaching. :bang:

I take it that they are going to be talking to her for all of the resurfacing.

Right, breakfast will have to wait until the segment is over.

Have fun while you can, but do be careful. Alcohol can be bad for the ankles

Nice sum-up, Ted. :cheer:  :points:

Cathy may be embarrassed by his glowing praise, but it's true.

Sara and Atsuhiko with a total score just a slight bit higher than Kaho and Yuto earned last week
KahoYuu placed 6th overall, if SaraAtsu end up lower than 6th (currently on track for 7th) they could lose their second JGP event
If SaraAtsu also manage to finish in 6th, KahoYuu might lose their second assignment
...or possibly both teams will still be sent since scores are so close

Oh, boys. That would be so rough on Sara and Atsuhito.

That's the problem with basing assignments on positions rather than scores.

Unfortunately, the way scores are after the SP mean it is going to take one of the next couple of partnerships to really mess up and have a disaster skate to get them to move up. And we never want to see that happen.

Confused by this. @balabam might say you can drink Margaritas while watching the beautiful art of figure skating? I really enjoy your insightful GS posts. Please give your choices a wider view.

I remember Dania & Theo from last year. She is such a boss and they are very promising.

While the program isn’t riveting, their skills are improving a lot. I can see them working their tracking and connection. They are coming along nicely.
