Sophie is a sub for JGP China. I wonder whether USFS had obtained visas for their subs... Harsh though it might be on others, I would be sending her rather than Mia Kalin if I could.

This was the best possible outcome for Gladki. Von Felton played spoiler in a big way. China’s looking even more deadly, especially if USFed sends her and they should if they could.

The USA have a new star, a real star. There is no need for fake PCS, or fake GOE on underrotated landings that are never called, huge GOE on hunched take offs, Von Felten is simply incredible. I don't think Margot jumps triple axels that well. When did a skater outside of Asia get gold at juniors?

Little disappointing for Shin but she's had incredible consistency and has obviously grown taller which makes it difficult to adjust.

I love it when figure skating puts me on the edge of my seat. So happy Rena and Mei and Anna skated better here. Sophies 3As. Heartbroken for Jia but she's still queen. Wuxi is the event to watch so far this season, Men and Women.

My favorite remains Rena who was a cut above the other skaters performance wise in person last year at Junior Worlds. But, clearly she's having some issues this year.

Interesting competition. Who will be make JGPF now? Clearly Mao and Wada ... Probably Stefania, too? Maybe no one from today's competition, right?
