Lucky you! We even had some here Southern Germany this year but there were too many clouds yesterday, so I don't know if there were any...some day I'll see them too

we left the city, we looked for the place with the least clouds... i took so many pictures... we saw all the colours .. it was amazing. 3rd time i see them but first time away from the city lights...

I've never seen an Aurora Borealis yet. Any time it is visible from NI, it is either overcast in my town, or else it is too late at night and I am asleep.

In May we had two or three days with a lot of sightings...one of those nights my bf and me left the city too and went up to a hill to look at the sky...nothing the night before would have been better.
