There are two people I tend to refer to as just "Ted". Figure skater turned commentator Ted Barton. And Formula 1 pit-lane reporter Ted Kravitz.

As part of the post-race coverage, Ted Kravitz has his own 30 minute programme called "Ted's Notebook", where he walks up and down pit lane or the paddock with a notebook in his hand, discussing things he wrote down during the race.

So, if we have a Ted and a notepad in figure skating too, it's going to fry my mind!

I had that happen just after the commentary started. But since I switched Opera's ad-blocker back on (I had switched itoff for a German event last season, and forgot to switch it back on), it hasn't.

Fingers crossed that it stays like that.

I don't think he worries too much about it. I once heard a revered UK news presenter say that the trick, when faced with a name you have never seen before and have no idea of, to look the camera straight in the eye and say the first think that comes into your head, and after listening to Ted for several years I am convinced that is his method too.

I've heard "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps" so many times that it almost always feels generic but I liked Cecilia's take on it. She has a kind of excitement in her interpretation that is very winsome.
