Pleskacheva will likely change Split Splash too

Finally had time to watch all the girls. Some sp thoughts

Lena - I think this program has a lot of potential, and she was, imo, def one of the best here, but the song is...well, on it's own, it's not bad, but it feels like it doesn't quite match the choreo. They should've used the original version. Also, I honestly would have preferred it if they gave her something bright and fun, like Titova's pirates program or Veronika's Harley Quinn

Petrova - I'm not always sold on Benoit's choreo, but he did a good job with this program, and Petrova has what it takes to pull it off. Definitely my fav sp of the girls.

Pleskacheva - Definitely the most unique program here! Her and Petrova were, without a doubt, gave the top 2 performances here for the short.

Anashkina - This short is from last season, but it's a lovely program and it shows the potential Yana has

Bazylyuk - The choreo actually has some interesting bits to it, but imo, Margarita just doesn't have the ability to pull it off. Maybe she'll get there over the course of the season. The 3A was hideous, and I definitely think she won't be keeping it as she gets older.

Varvara - It's nice to get a break from all the suffering tweens and see a light-hearted, age appropriate program. This was such a fun and cute program, and I LOVE the dress. Hope her jumps can improve over the season.

Litvincheva - I'm confused by this dress, it doesn't match the music at all. Hope it's just a temporary one. Regarding the actual program, the random faceplant aside, I like this, and you can tell Lera herself enjoys it, especially in the second half. Lera is a skater who is VERY rough around the edges, but I really think that once she gets it together, she'll be a force to be reckoned with. Just keep Davydov away from her.

Yurova - She looks like she's grown quite a bit since last season! I don't think she was quite selling this program, but the choreo is interesting and it has a lot of potential.

Lyashenko - Like Yurova, I didn't quite feel she was selling this, but the program has a lot of potential. Sidenote, she's TINY. Hard to believe she's 15 and one of the oldest ones here. If I didn't know any better, I'd think she was like, 11

Prineva - There's nothing more tragic than an amazing performer like Prineva being subjected to sambo's terrible choreo. Tbh, I don't know why she even switched there...it's clear that she's actively growing, and I won't be surprised if she ends up being fairly tall. I doubt they'll be able to help her stabilize her jumps, but maybe I'll be proven wrong.

Rubtsova - She looks so much taller and older compared to when I last saw her compete! She's not back to where she was pre-surgery, but that's to be expected. Wasn't feeling the first half of this, but the 2nd is fun.

So for me, the top 5 for the sp were Lena, Petrova, Varvara, Litvincheva and Pleskacheva

I'm also not happy about the switch in this case, as I don't think she's a good fit but who wouldn't want to train in the best group in the world? Ask Anastasia Brandenburg... So yeah, that's why she switched there and anyone who doesn't understand that probably haven't been following women figure skating in the past 10 years or so very intently...

But I also know that Pleskacheva will always breathe life into a program, so...
I totally agree! I am happy she is changing her program, not because the last one was poor but because I am so interested to see what she comes up with next. Shes so versatile.

The twist looks like it could be an issue for this team.
I dont know if Andrey Rud is the best possible partner for Varya. He has struggled with smaller partners and she is still young and already this tall and could grow even taller.
