2025-2026 French Figure Skating

As yet, there is no Fanfest for Davide Lewton Brain who skated so well in the Olympic qualifier last weekend. So I am going to do the fangirl thing here in this thread of which he is a part (Monaco or not). He was wonderful in that competition. To get so high without a 3A (he just learned to do one, as he demonstrated at French Masters) or a quad. Kudo's! He is wonderful to watch, that posture, his skating skills. The jumps he executes are so lovely with such wonderful landings,

It's such a shame he lost a bit of concentration at the end of the Free, and missed the points for his last spin. Usually not an issue, but this time it cost him the Olympic Spot that was on the line. I sure hope he continues skating. I need such guys to watch.

And here are the French men's senior results of Trophy Metropole Nice Cote d'Azur, a senior B competition with quite a few entrees from France but also from (mostly) other European countries although there was an entree from Mexico (in women).

Men
1. Adam Siao Him Fa with 254.11 points. He's getting his form back, to be sure!
2. Samy Hammi with 219.36 points. This must be a boost for Samy.

6. Xan Rols with 163.50 points

Women and ID will follow later, their competitions are still on going.

No French Skaters at Denis 10 Memorial. The detailed results page was unsafe though, so I had to look it up on the ISU site.

There were some French skaters competing elsewhere. At the Gordion Cup in Turkiye in the senior mens event Samy Hammi won the gold medal 🥇 , while Xan Rols won the Silver. 🥈

There were no French entrees in the other senior disciplines or in junior. In advanced novice there were two French girls: Laila Mizokami came 4th, while Alina Grigoryeva (who skates for Monaco) was 5th.

Congratulations to the medallists, and well done for all! :cheer::cheer::love3:
