2025 European Championships Women's Free Skate

I'm still not convinced with the walk-ins.

But, I want to tell you a story from the walk-ons during the SP on Wednesday.

This skater came out from behind the curtain, and I did a double-take. Because I thought it was my current main skating crush, but I knew she wasn't due to be skating then.

I had never noticed a resemblance between them before. This other girl is younger than my crush, so maybe she has just started to look like her as she has got older. But, looking at pictures of her since then, there is definitely a similarity.

And that is as much as I am going to say. I'll not tell you if either of them are skating today. Or even if my crush was even taking part in this event.

The Lithuanian Fed had a novel way of deciding who to send here. In November & December, they sent different combinations of 2 of their Top 3 Ladies skaters to a series of events. And made their decision based on these head-to-heads.
Probably cost effective

The strange thing is that it meant that Aleksandra didn't compete at Nationals, because it was the turn of the other two girls to go head-to-head.

Although, again, that could be a cost thing, because Aleksandra lives in Scotland. The other two girls live in Lithuania.
