Flora Schaller got Austria's second spot at Euros as substitute for Olga.
It's a huge opportunity for Flora.
She's unlikely to progress to the free, and she will be realistic about that, but it will be invaluable experience for her. She got the tech minimum for Junior Worlds this past weekend, so we could see her there as well (possibly depending on what is happening with Hanna Frank).

Loena Hendrickx has withdrawn due to an ankle injury Does anyone know, if the starting groups for the SP/RD are announced some time before the event? Or is it known only on the event day? This far it seems there is only list of the participants for every country, but I would like to know the starting orders to plan my visit of the event. I cannot be there the entire time of any event, but I would like to be sure I can see my favourite skaters.

The different groups are based on WR, so it´s pretty much set now who will skate in the early and late groups, except that there might be some last small changes after Bavarian Open and possible Ephesus Cup if there are skaters there going to Euros, place high enough for ranking points and hasn´t got the maximum points for int. competitions this season. I havn´t studied the entries closely but I don´t think there will be much changes now. Within the groups you won´t know the start orders before the day before, but even within the groups you will know who will skate early (ranked 1-3 in the group) or late in the group (3-6). When they do the draw, they draw the start orders in the group, but in two sub groups.
Is there anyone in particular you wonder about?
I can make a quick list for women based on todays ranking.

After Loena WD, there are down to 32 entries in women. I think this means there will be 4 group with 5 skaters and only 2 groups with 6 skaters. Correct me if i´m thinking wrong. If there would be more WD, things can change with numbers of skaters in each group.
I´m not sure how they draw the sub groups when there are only 5 skaters in one group, anybody knows? I think it would make sense that they draw between 1-2 and 3-5?

It looks like Serna and Wories already achieved maximum points for their international competitions, so it looks like Pesendorfer is the only one that could move in the ranks. She would need minimum 5th place to do so, but if she does, it looks like she would move up from group 2 to 3 and move Ceder down to group 2.

Thank you so much taking time for this and doing it so quickly! I am Estonian myself, so first of all I'm interested in Estonian skaters. If you could do something similar for the men, I would be so glad (take your time, no need to answer me tonight). There are quite many men I'd like to see and I assume most of them are in the final two or three groups, but sometimes there have been some surprising starts in lower groups of some very good skaters.

Quite a golden chance for a few women who might not have been seen as medal contenders before the season started. Loena out and I don't feel that Gubanova's programmes entirely suit her this year. Hopefully she's had a bit of time to get more comfortable with them since the Grand rix season.
ITA, the women's podium seems pretty open to me, there are 8-10 skaters who given their performance on the given days can medal. It's actually mind-blowing to me that we are heading to Europeans (or any major competition) like that, usually you roughly know how the competition will go, but I feel like the results can be pretty wild in this one.

Wonder if Kristen Spours can secure a top ten spot? - it would be great to secure a second spot and for Nina Povey to potentially skate at home at next year's Euros.

Hmm i´m not sure the winner will score 200. I think around 190 would be more likely. None of them has scored 200 this season, or ever?
Kristen would need to go completely clean and have around 8-10 skaters ranked above her make significant mistakes. She's ranked 25 out of the current entrants based on ISU PB and 20th based on ISU SB. Yes, her unofficial best score is higher, but that applies to lots of other skaters too. It is possible, but unlikely.
Nastya hasn't had good form but seems to pull herself together for this event. Also, the judges will naturally inflate the score for this event. The skaters with a medal chance will give that little bit more than usual since they might never get a better opportunity.

I can do that, but I do wonder if I should wait until Saturday/Sunday until Bavarian Open is done in seniors since there could be some last minute changes that could change up the groups a little. At least for men. ID might be easier, because I doubt there would be some big changes. And pairs is pretty much set.
Updatet ladies list:
I base it on unofficial ranking now from Skatingscores.com, which has always been accurate and actually understands things like maximum points and stuff. So Pesendorfer did actually take a bronze at Bavarian Open and earned 203 points, but she didn´t move as much as I thought because some points from 22/23 season was deleted. She didn´t move up to group 3, but is now the highest ranked in her group.
I think all the senior international comps for women are done now, so there will no more movement in the rankings. So this should be the final result. The only thing that can happen that can change the groups are WD and possible replacements and/or that they change the number of groups.
