2025 JGP Varese Men's Short Program

And that's a wrap for tonight. And it is a good job too, because I am wrecked. I could just fall into bed right now. :bed:

And that is the end of my LIVE viewing of the skating this week. Because there is Formula 1, MotoGP, World Superbikes, and British Superbikes all on this weekend. :drama:

That said, I think I will pop in for the start of the Ladies SP, because my little flame-haired Duracell bunny, Vasilisa Bogomolova (CYP), is kicking off proceedings (although, last I saw she had gone back to her natural blonde hair colour). And I think she may cause a surprise.

I might just stay for all of the opening group, because my other kid, Katya Gervits (ISR), is finishing off Group 1. Or I might leave and come back for Katya. It depends how things are going.

See you then!

Is Habin Choi's music from a soundtrack? I am partial to soundtrack music, and I liked it a lot. I also liked his step sequence, and how long he could ride an edge.

I really enjoyed Aleksandr Fegan and Fedir Babenko's performances. Poor Fedir, what a sad slip to have on the first jump, but he acts like nothing could crush his spirit. I'm rapidly becoming a super fan. His SP at Ankara went better, so if you missed that you might want to check it out. Nicholas Brook's performance was also good looking but with the poor audio it was a little hard to tell how good. I don't care for those songs anyway, so I guess the poor audio was a mixed blessing for me. Shame about the combo running out of room; I was starting to think Nicholas could fight for medals. Well, I guess a lot can change in the free but several boys are packing quads. Did Nicholas remember to pack his? Taiga Nishino (who has quads) is not well known to me, but his performance ability looks quite promising. It also looks like he was wearing two of Minkyu Seo's past costumes.

I haven't watched everyone yet. Sounds like I need to check out Jiarui. Any other recommendations?

As I normally do not follow junior grand prix, it's so fun to discover young skaters that were not on my radar before.
Today I add Habin Choi, Tagia Nishino, Shun Uemura, and Lukas Vaclavik to my... little skater brothers to watch :D

(Seems like my SkatePicks doesn't have hope but whatever! Cheering for all the skaters!)
