Karino/Song with Ghost: The Musical. It was nice, free 78.45, total 120.80 into first with Briere/Levesque left to go.

Briere/Levesque - beginning is playful, they pull it off. Julien jumped, but it didn't look like the illegal jump he did before. Choreo twizzles not quite there yet. Free 84.88, total 135.91 for the win. Good luck in Graz, get those minimums!

Pehl/Yu - skating to the epic trailer version of I Ran. I think this went better than the rhythm dance (they had a fall in it.) Hopefully they can make it to Nationals this season. Free 71.57, Total 109.06

Madison Hubbell was bopping along to Taylor Swift during the wait for the scores.

Foroglou-Gadoury/Anderson - female cover of Lose Control, and then into the original version. It was fine, I wasn't feeling the connection between them here. Free 82.41, Total 130.93

Hancock/Dotzert - I like Theory of a Deadman, but I'm not sure if this Wicked Game cover works for them. They feel a little light for it.
Free 86.13 Total 136.73 into first and they'll get at least a bronze.

Also the stream crashed right as Korneva/McDonald started.

Korneva/MacDonald - I think they had the fastest twizzles so far. Free 94.27, Total 155.67 into first.

Looking at the scores, Victoria won Junior Women Group 1 with 174.91. She could put some pressure on Lia at Nationals. I hope she does, I think Lia needs more of a challenge domestically.

Quinn Startek in silver with 157.41 and Kaylee Sun in bronze with 156.83. Nice to see Kaylee up there

Yay!! If she was clean at JGP, that is roughly what Victoria would score. Glad to see her close to Lia.

Also, happy to see w Quinn improving like a rocket and Kaylee (wow!!!) - will Kaylee now get an international event?

Bashynska/Perron - Heart of Glass, opening lift had good connection. Nadiia looks like she's enjoying herself and it's a nice to see after last season Good first outing, and Nadiia picks something up off the ice before getting off it.

Free - 95.43, total 161.67 for Bashynska/Perron for the win, they're close to the domestic benchmark for an assignment.

First group of Junior Men is finishing up. Jonathon lost one of his spins and grabbed his nose, but he seemed okay. Probably the strongest performance so far. Free 81.70, total 122.79 into first.

I think William Bocskay is the first to have a Dune program for the Canadian skaters. Free 78.55, Total 123.61 into first with four to go.

Petro Chebotarov - he's getting some lean in the air, but landing the jumps mostly. I type that and he fell, sorry Petro. Camel didn't want to camel in his combo spin. Free 74.07, total 120.16 into third with three to go.

James M - I like his movement. Not the cleanest landings. One pop, no falls and he had the biggest smile at the end Free 85.05, total 131.55 into first with two to go.

Eric Swalm - Sign of the Times for him. Not the cleanest landings, but he's landing the jumps. I think he stumbled on the entry into his flying sit spin, and I think he missed the entrance to his final combo spin. He did it after, but it'll probably be invalid. Lots of cheers for him at the end from the Saskatchewan skaters I think. Free 79.63, total 128.39 into second place so he'll get at least a bronze.

James Cha - Shang Chi soundtrack for him in black with gold rhinestones. He's improved from last season, more flow on the landings of his jumps. Definitely the strongest skater of the Junior Men here and another big smile at the end High five from Brian Orser coming off the ice.

Free 101.28, total 151.83 for the win. And it's a James 1-2 on the podium.
