Welcome the most idiotic decision by USFS and NBC I have seen in my life. I know that that for some reason NBC does not like Ilia but putting all the other athletes in two disciplines and skating fans though hell to buffer or hide him iis not fair either. Would have killed them to just separate the events so the dances would be able to skate without the ruts in the ice from the men. I hope next year that the athletes put their foot down on this ever happening again.

It's based on World Standing. Since he's training in Europe, he's done a bunch of smaller comps this year.

1. NBC sure isn't hiding Ilia, he's their superstar! They're doing this so they can show off two world champions without a break in between

2. I hadn't even thought about that, but you're so right - senior skaters create huge holes in the ice, especially with lutzes and flips, which will be a huge challenge for the dancers who aren't used to dealing with this type of ice.
