2025 U S. Nationals Senior Pairs Free Skate

Yeah. It was nice at Canadian Nats that they had a pairs skater for both the English and French streams. I went with the French one - Charlie is a good commentator.
I noticed on the English streams they had a former competitor in each discipline to commentate, which is pretty cool. Unfortunately I don't know French because I wouldn't have minded checking out those streams as well.

For those who aren't familiar with Canadian Nats the CBC had Ted Barton on all disciplines and the following commentators:
Men's - Kevin Reynolds
Women's - Kaetlyn Osmond
Pairs - Kristen Moore-Towers
Dance - Kaitlyn Weaver

5. Ellie Korytek (SC of New York) / Timmy Chapman (SC of New York)
FS: "Hit the Road Jack" by Tommee Profitt; choreo by John Kerr

3Tw3
2A+2A+SEQ (Ellie holds on to her second axel) (R)
2Lo
3STh (forwards, hands down)
5ALi4
2LoTh
FiDs2
PCoSp4
5RLi4 (really slows down)
ChSq1 +1.07
3Li3 (again, very slow and jerky, I think they're just running out of steam or it could be the boot/pain issues)

SP: 57.54 (8th)
FS: 108.31 (1st)
TOT: 165.85 (1st)

This was a really good skate from this team. They've been stuck in intermediate age hell for a few years now, but they're finally able to move up to seniors next season. They seem to have a great connection with each other, and they have some really strong elements - their twist is great, and Timmy did well to maintain speed throughout the first lift. Obviously, moving forwards, they will look to improve their SBS jump BV, the throws are still a work in progress, and I think stamina is a bit of an issue right now, but this team has a very strong foundation coming out of juniors and moving towards their senior career.

Ellie and Timmy... (forgive me @moonvine )

Superb twist... but then... too many doubles... only triple attempted was the throw salchow with hands down. I like their lines... but i am not sure about these two... at this point, they should have developed elements further...

Were they injured ?

the french streams also had former skaters
Alicia Pineault
Charlie Bilodeau
Elisabeth Paradis (ice dancer)

Ok, when Naomi hit her opening pose and put her leg in the air, this came to mind.

He's got boot problems and is apparently in quite a bit of pain. They also can only compete domestically due to age. Until next season. Therefore a lot of what they do is travel around the country and skate in ice shows from what I can determine from their SM. They were never able to compete internationally as juniors nor seniors due to age rules. They won the US Junior championship their first year together. Then they started competing domestically as seniors. I know it's been a long and frustrating road.

for those interested... I am watching on the TV APP... from Canada without problems... and with many prevagen adverts.

i guess i could switch to qq to get away of Tara.. but then... well... i am lazy.
