This is the best I had ever seen them skate - technically sharp and Sara sold it like the rent was due!

The Italians killed it. I really enjoy them even if they don't have the most challenging programs (or programs that I like). They might challenge the Germans for second? Their free program does them no favors though....

SP: 74.61 (2nd) Q

This program works so well for Sara and Niccolo - it is so exciting and matches their energies perfectly. The throw on the music is so brilliant, and their jumping elements are so good. Their twist is a little awkward, and Niccolo had to fight to get some ice coverage on the lift, but this was still a fantastic outing from these two and a real return to the form that saw them on the podium a few years ago.

Conti and Macii have delivered a moxie skate with tremendous fire and passion! Will that go into 1st or 2nd? I can see it going either way for the Japanese or the Italians. Death spiral at level 2 will make the difference. 2nd place.
