WORLD MEDALLIST MONE CHIBA! CONGRATULATIONS!

Apart from a misfire on a 3S, this was a fantastic free program. Mone's skating skills and landing position help to propel her scores - she just has an inherent quality to her skating, and she was fighting so hard to perform throughout this program. I love the step sequence as well - she had an authentic performance there and it's brilliant choreography by Lori Nichol.

Generally like Isabeau, but despite her many good qualities, the lack of speed and awkward jumps should be reflected in the marks.
Still, nice effort after her year.
She isn't slow. This is something people who haven't seen her live say. She's not Kaori fast. But, she has normal to above normal in speed. Her soft skating style appears slow on the ice. But, she covers the rink. Alysa is the one who is noticeably slow (or was before, I think she is improving). The jump critique is correct.

The Sal at least will be called and then it will come down to PCS. Her PB is 143.88, so really close to the 144.55 she needs to beat Kaori.

Mone Chiba, wow. She might overtake Kaori Sakamoto if the judges won't be skimpy. Also I have to add I saw some shades of Mao Asada in this skate
