I don't think it's too surprising that Sofia has lower PCS. She used to compete in an environment where jumps mattered the most. And she formerly had a 3A combo. I think she is now training in a better place where she can work on her performance as well as jumps

The first is the moment of almost landing. Where it is still in the air above the ice - and the blade is ALREADY turned away from the screen into the depths. The second is the final exit from the jump - where the direction of the jump is visible. That is, there the turn on the ice is much less than a quarter.

This was so close to being an incredible skate, and then the flip happened - that was an extremely costly error. Niina was looking incredible in practice all week, so it's a real shame that she had an uncharacteristic error in the short that will hold her back, as well as that step out on the flip. This program works so well for her, matching her intensity and speed perfectly, and had to be absolutely electric in the arena. This was still a redemption skate, but perhaps not as pristine-clean as she would have wanted.
