OMG... i don't like the running with skates on... it makes me fear that someone will fall.

I saw Sonja Henie running in skates in a movie the other day, but she did not fall.

I will add that the snow is annoying because it had melted away, and then we got 5 inches the other day. March in Maine, lol.

same here.... but monday was worse... snow.. but it melted.. but then if flash froze at night... it was so slippery on the concrete sidewalks... now, it's all clear on the sidewalks but there is still no grass to be seen, let alone green grass....

I really hope Nargiz will have a great skate. And oh, she is coached by Tracy!

I'm in the strange position of not having any skaters that I am really invested in competing in Ladies. None of my kids are here.

Nargiz is probably the closest of the skaters that are here.

Some iffy landings, but really a great debut for Nargiz. She seems overjoyed just to be there, and that is just so great to watch

Nargiz is a really unique skater - I love the split slide in her step sequence - and she was really into the performance throughout this whole program. I think both of her jumps were under - they'll definitely get reviewed, which is a shame, because she has a great landing position and didn't have the same rotation issues in practice. But what matters is that she seemed to have fun and we started out with a nice clean skate - this was a great experience for her and I love seeing a happy skater at the end.

Whereas in the Vancouver area, as usual, it's all the-flowers-that-bloom-in-the-spring-tra-la. Soggy flowers from all the rain, but then it's the rain that makes the grass so green.
