Vanessa is such a confident jumper - she's another one who was looking great in practice but just struggled in competition. I was happy to see that despite the mistakes, she still performed and had fun with this program. I like that she ends with the step sequence and really managed to rally the audience behind her. Even if the jumps weren't what she wanted, I still feel this will be a memorable program for her.

Methinks somebody has only just realised that Yuzuru Hanyu isn't competing this year, and has decided to get rid of their stash of Winnie The Poohs early by giving them all to Vanesa instead.

Spectators are limited to bringing in three per visit. If you only have three on you, you’ve got to distribute them very strategically :)
Yes which is another reason I’m glad I’m at home. There have been some very creative hiding ideas though.

Anastasia had a really rough practice this morning, and it seemed like there was a music error with her program - they were playing the background music at the same time as her music, so that had to distract her. She looked confused, but kept on skating. I also don't know why they're calling all of these combos as 3Ts - some odd technical issues for a Worlds. She did well to fight and get that lutz out - unfortunately, some of the tough falls she took in practice also appeared in competition. :console:
