Vanessa is such a confident jumper - she's another one who was looking great in practice but just struggled in competition. I was happy to see that despite the mistakes, she still performed and had fun with this program. I like that she ends with the step sequence and really managed to rally the audience behind her. Even if the jumps weren't what she wanted, I still feel this will be a memorable program for her.

Yes which is another reason I’m glad I’m at home. There have been some very creative hiding ideas though.

Anastasia had a really rough practice this morning, and it seemed like there was a music error with her program - they were playing the background music at the same time as her music, so that had to distract her. She looked confused, but kept on skating. I also don't know why they're calling all of these combos as 3Ts - some odd technical issues for a Worlds. She did well to fight and get that lutz out - unfortunately, some of the tough falls she took in practice also appeared in competition.
