Thanks. I thought only 16 went to the free skate for pairs.

I do know how second and third spots for the Olympics are secured. Thank you all for replying. So today is an important day for many even though it i just the short program.

Nini just seemed a little timid today - she definitely wasn't pushing for speed like normal in the first half of the program, and really slowed down before each of the jumps. There is a lot of pressure on her here to get an Olympic sport for China, so I completely understand her caution. It is such a shame about the fall, because afterwards you could see her potential - gorgeous spins and great range of movement in the steps.

Not the skate Xiangi wanted. I think China will need to qualify an Olympic spot the hard way now, I don't think they can save her with PCS. At least she will have home advantage at the qualifier.
