Like always, Lorine manages to land these jumps regardless of how wonky her axis gets. It's nice to see her back with a (mostly) clean skate after she struggled with injury during the fall, and her performance and refinement have really improved over the past two seasons as well.

21. Wakaba HIGUCHI 🇯🇵

WAKABA IS WAKABACK!!!!!!!! I love this program, and I love Wakaba - she is so intense and dynamic. It's so remarkable to see her return from injury in some of the best form of her career. That was one of the best 3+3s she's done all week - that had really nice, clean rotation. She did lose a couple points with her spin GOE, but her energy throughout this program was just electric! I love that step sequence - those twizzles with her head back give me chills every time, and she sells a step sequence like no one else.

it was her spin GOE that hurt her score - Alysa had above a point on two of her spins, whereas Wakaba averaged around +.8 or so.
