Agreed, and it’s not much of a points difference either.I think it’s deserved. She skated the best she has in a long time and Lee did have the issue with the flip.
As I watch her in this I always think of how Charlie White looked when he tried to skate to this for their “Latin” program. That was so comicalThat program is just awful for her, bad bad bad
She should get higher PCS than them however soKatya tech score 28 may not be enough it is below the last two qualifiers
She has had a rough time recently. I heard she is suing a French photographer for claiming to sell topless photos of her.Kurakova puts on a good show but her tech is just not competitve. It was better in days of yore.
Terrible, terrible calls on the jumps. Alyssa was clearly at least a cue on both jumps in her combo, possibly under rotated on the triple toe. Wakaba was the same. That was clearly favoritism, but the calls have been very lenient here at world so far. Calls throughout the season have been far, far more severe. Don't get me wrong, Alyssa's short is on my favorite of the year, but the jumps were not as clean as the Mark's demonstrated, and I don't think this is the best she has skated the rest of the program. I agree, I would have had her at about 70 somethingI think the PCS difference between Alyssa and Wakaba is a matter of taste. The judges probably feel that Alyssa is more emotive. It's just that their individual expressive qualities are different. I would have Wakaba at 73+ and Alyssa between 70 to 71 due to the UR. At the very least, it was a Q. Her boot turned on the ice. It was not 'bam' clean.
