2025 World Championships Women's Short Program

As did I. Just now. Big screen TV here, as well. Hell, I can't stand Tara's voice but even she got the call right.
LOL. The NBC crew are the biggest homers in the world for Alyssa Lui. Alyssa is a huge USfed fave. They have always boosted her.

Sometimes the tech panel pick up on it, sometimes not.
It is their job to pick up on technical performances accurately. It's their only job.

Both Chris and Mark have called jumps incorrectly over the years in men's. Chris even admitted he was wrong at several events. Using commentators as the rule of law, so to speak, isn't wise.
I listen to commentators as a guide, not as definitive authorities. I trust my eyes. Alyssa's boot turned on the second triple landing. It was not 'squeaky clean'. But it is what it is. I have seen worse calls this year for and against skaters' landings during the GP.

Congrats to Maddie Schizas!! I didn't see first group, but of the ladies I have seen this is a good competition by most skaters. I hope it holds true for the other disciplines.

That was nice for Maddie aside from the wonky spins...
Spins weren't crisp, but they weren't too bad. I thought the step sequence was the weakest element. Didn't cover a ton of ice, and certainly didn't seem to have as many turns as others. She got it level three which is decent, but I thought that was pretty weak
