The rest of the program was held together with tape though. Second half of the combo was significantly under and in general it was a really rough skate all the way across. She just really seemed off

She might. The competition will be tough, though. One spot will go to whoever Russia send (likely Petrosian) and she will be against some good skaters coming up from juniors.

Darn! That was a laboured skate from Amber. Not at all what she is capable of; she delivered all the elements perfectly on this ice yesterday in practice and hit a beautiful 3Axel in warmup. It wasn’t meant to be. Hopefully, she can skate perfectly in the FS on Friday!

I love when "non-big-skating-countries" like Poland or Israel or Switzerland can bring a skater high in the ranks.
