This will sound really harsh, but this might just be my least favourite Snow Leopards (her skating club) program ever, and definitely my least favourite costume. Sofia is no Kseniia Sinitsina (yet), who is capable of being very emotive and expressive, and even she would struggle to pull this off. Her Short is so much better and it's just a shame, because Sofia is a lovely skater with great lines, who deserves better than this program.

Resurface and breakfast for me...I need food to wrap my brain around this event
Warm-up Group 3
13 Anna PEZZETTA ITA
14 Iida KARHUNEN FIN
15 Leandra TZIMPOUKAKIS SUI
16 Stefania GLADKI FRA
17 Yihan WANG CHN
18 Jia SHIN KOR

Ted said not much emotional connection, I am not sure what he means. It is just an energetic program and she seemed to show that. This is not Tchaikovsky. Quite charismatic IMO.
Connection to the music=blade strokes exactly match music. If you are not musically gifted, you will never pick up on it. You might see it as 'musical' when they do it really well, or 'skating past music' when they are horrible, but in the middle, it's impossible to tell. Also, the deep knee bend/short limbs help.

We have reached the half way point.
The judging has been great so far at this event.

Loved Hana’s performance. She has clear big triples and her 3A was huge.

So far, we have seen 3 4S attempts (2 landed) and 5 3A attempts (2 landed)!! 😳

I’m amazed with what the junior girls are doing jump wise. However, I’m missing watching well put programs. I hope to see this in the second half.

Mia Zeng won't be eligible for Juniors yet next season (I think), so I just need Hana to repeat this performance next year in order for both of them to go to Jr Worlds in 2027.
I am amazed at your knowledge of novice skaters from all around the world... I can barely keep up with the ones from my own country... and there better be a spot for Lia AND Ksenia when they are eligible

With Lulu finishing 24th and Kara not making it past the free skate, do you know how many JGP spots we get next season? Ksenia will debut next season. But, how many spots will Canada have to fight for? I’m afraid to even ask 😟

My knowledge is going to be going down some over the next few years, I fear. I'm graduating soon and probably won't have that much time anymore (but to be fair, I actually don't have very much time now either, so...).

I still don't know Mia's birthday, just that she's likely born in 2012 or 2013, so she could also in fact not even be eligible in 2026/27. 😅

She's a very charismatic and dance-y skater for 11 or 12 - Not too surprising considering her mum was an Ice Dancer:

Go Anna Pezetta!! 🇮🇹

I think I’m rooting for Yihan Wang. I need China to earn two spots so another one of their talents can go to Worlds.

Also, Jia Shin is still in the Brian Orser Camp. I hope she skates clean so she stays there.

very few... like 3 or 4 across the whole JGP ?

I was close but look above me ...
