The first two were expected but the combo might be quite costly. Kostyleva will probably take this in the end. Oh well.

Those triple axels literally involve an entire lap of the rink, but that was phenomenal with all her injuries, distractions, grown a lot, lack of training.

Worthy champion. More impressive than last year because she had to overcome everything this season.

Choreography and presentation was better than at least half of the other contestants. Juniors is generally completely barren. Kostyleva isn't a negative outlier in PCS whatsoever. And she is only 14.

It's what the great athletes do. Like Valieva coming out of a 2 year ban suddenly jumping a 4-3 combo.

In the short program she was on fire with the step sequence, but she does need a massive setup for her ultra c to build speed and that's probably how she attempts them at training.

I am glad that Kostyleva skated well, and there were people who supported her through the season that was full of adversity and slander. I still hope that the crap-storm around her settles and she can get a breather, recovers, enjoys her training, parties and shows.
