Sophie's program is a tribute to the friends she lost in the tragic plane crash almost a year ago, the step sequence represents the moment when she found out. It definitely made me tear up, she skates it with so much emotion and it's a wonderful tribute to the people she lost. It's a shame about the 3A but she didn't let that affect the rest of the program, she should be proud of her performance here.

We forget that many of these skaters are still grieving the loss of their friends.
Nationals will never be quite the same for them.

Joey was really struggling with the jumps in practice, but she knows how to turn it on during competition! Her rotations, as always, were a little questionable, but she makes up for it with her energy and performance ability. She had the crowd in the palm of her hand for the entire program!

I enjoyed Josephine’s “Objection Tango”. The closest to clean we have seen so far tonight. Under 6.0, that UR 3toe would have been considered clean. Haha.
