Both of the Metelkina's double axles in the sequence were notably under rotated.

As long as they don't mess up their lifts, they should be safe. Although we have seen them fall apart in the past. Definitely prefer the Canadians so far in terms of passion and expression. This looks a lot more artificial and programmed. Still excellent quality of course.

A fall on the throw triple loop! It will be interesting to see if they're able to hold things together. That is a terrible looking death spiral...

If they make another mistake I could see the Canadians beating them in the free skate- but unless there is a mistake on a lift or something, the Canadians will not be able to beat them overall.

Wow Canada is going home with a surprise medal in pairs! Honestly I have always liked Lia and Trennt. I do not find they are overly technically unique or superior or charismatic but they got the job done. Like Deanna and Max have the age story, the grit and some real fight, the Japanese olympic champs are not the level of Shen and Zhou or G and G but had some chemistry likewsie duhamel and radford had grit and tech difficulty. Trennt and Lia are pretty perfunctory but pretty good perfunctory (Us and canadian pairs are kind of like that right now well actually all of these teams are pretty good but not overly special for lack of words so good on Canada

The first half of the M/B program is so impressive. The twist and the jumps are world class. But then those elements get rocky. The fall, a weak death spiral, meh spins, etc.

Good grief, do you even know how to give a compliment without tearing down at the same? You basically just said they're great except for the fact that they are mediocre...
