2026 World Figure Skating Championships | Women's Free Skate

Lol, half the pyros not working

Awww, Mark comparing Kaori to Michelle Kwan. I've been saying that since Milan! 😭

Both Kaori and Jia are simply exquisite!

The comparison to Michelle is totally justified...and I don't say that lightly because Michelle is #1 on my personal GOAT list.

Is Kaori going into coaching? Thought someone mentioned that earlier. If she does, I bet she'll be great at it.

It's obvious we need Alysa to hope to get back on the podium though Isabeau had another top 4 finish alysa's consistency is her greatest strength as a skater. Bradie is probably retiring and i feel like Isabeau is maxed out and Sarah needs work on a lot of things though she is also a good competitor. As for Amber it's like a movie where you know the ending but hope it changes but never does.
I agree with your thoughts. But I am pleased that Isabeau and Amber were able to secure 3 spots for the US for next season. My guess is that Amber and Bradie will retire and Alysa will take another gap year. I don't see Sarah as the next US phenom but some other junior skater who is going to have to work hard to have technical excellence and performance pizzaz. Bring on the future!

Kaori. It's been such a privilege watching her since 2018 when I first saw her live at the GPF. She didn't even medal there but her performance of The Piano made me cry and she's only had so many more stunning programs since then. Also feels a bit like a spiritual succession since I also really enjoyed Kaetlyn Osmond, living in Canada, and Kaori also ended her career on Edith Piaf and (finally) some good 3F-3Ts. It's too bad Mai couldn't also retire on so soaring a note, but by all accounts she also really loved her final skate and the appreciation she received, so wishing both of my Sysmex Girls the best as they embark on their next adventures :laugh3::laugh3::cry3::cry3::cheer2::cheer2::cheer::cheer::hap10::hap10:

Hallelujah KAORI!
I have to admit that I watched both programs only to see Kaori one last time (and Isabeau).

I was actually cutting onions watching the medal ceremony. Really. I can't believe her gut strength to do what it took for her to come to World's like that one month after Milano.

Our queen can sleep happy. She saved her best for the world. THANK YOU, KAORI. :jumping: :cheer::jump::points:

I loved, loved her Piano program. One of my favorite movie sound tracks ever.

Kaori is the deserved champ but 78 PCS makes a mockery of the sport.

Chiba and Pinzaronne not even a single q or underrotation when there were several each in the replays shown.

It's just a joke.

We can all enjoy and admire Kaori without this blatant manipulation.
