I guess Renat Lashiev was right. Sasha is going home. Until after the Olympics season at least.

Sasha got a few endorsements while she was at PA she was making money she did a book she has Adidas she was getting publicity off the charts but something was missing and let's see if she can get it back back at TT.

This is a shocker especially who Sasha went back to. I guess the pressure to make the Olympic team led to this move. Sasha now moves from third or fourth in line to make the Olympic team to probably second or third.
She may be the first choice even if she gets that four or five quad program and develops the 3A. Kamila has a real threat besides Anna.

After the Olympic season is over I do wonder how many girls will stay with the great coach.

Anna Sasha aliona KV Maya Dasha Zhenya and Alina. Plus the three junior girls Sophia petro and Liza. This is absolutely insane that one coach has so much greatness in one discipline. It's never been done before in the history of the sport.

I didn't Sasha a like a nasty post about EG and abuse on Instagram a few months ago?

I don't know how this woman and one coach and one choreographer can handle all this talent and then plus all the junior girls junior boys they're dealing with and have to help get better too. TT needs more coaches.

I really wish figure skating had more of a ranking system to enter events like tennis and golf do. Russia legitimately has five of the top six or six of the top seven lady skaters in the world and they're only going to get three there to the Olympics and worlds. Diluting the talent is not how you make a sport grow and that's been figure skating biggest problem

I think that Eteri tour might have been a knife to the heart for Sasha-all the performances and fun her friends were having on tour. Sasha, Anna Maya and Daria were (are)very good friends, and it had to be hard for her to see all the photos being posted. And Plushy's team would have been pretty lonely with no one in her age group etc. I'm guessing though that Eteri has found a way to keep her father's interference out of the equation.

That tour was unbelievable and Sasha would have loved it. But it doesn't matter that her friends were in this Champions on Ice tour because Sasha needed to leave TT because she couldn't get enough personal attention. Remember?

I don't know how EG coaches six or seven unbelievable girls and she's going to want evgenia to have a brilliant comeback season.

Also Katy if Sasha was available she should have done some of those shows with all the other TT girls and guys because they had skaters outside of TT skate in those shows to like Dima and Sofia and others I think.

The only thing is if Sasha had done some of those shows then the speculation and media craze would have been off the charts about her returning to TT who wants to deal with that?

I hope the skaters made some real money on that tour and not just the coaches or the Federation.

It's mind-boggling Macy. And then you think of how is one Elite coach and one Elite technician and one Elite choreographer going to work with six or seven top senior ladies on break up younger girls the boys they have the pairs teams are going to work with they have to bring other coaches in. Which is why I wonder about Mikhailov and Rozanov. Young Sergei never liked any negative post about EG on Instagram and he's worked with almost all the skaters at TT so why not bring him back to at least work with the novice girls becoming juniors and let the top coaches go with the senior ladies?

Again Sasha left TT because she could not get enough personal attention. I don't know how she gets enough of the great coaches attention in the Olympics season but one thing's for sure she will get the Eteri bounce back.

Remember the Sasha we saw at Nationals can win the Olympics. But she cannot handicap herself with a bad SP score in the Olympics or Nationals next season like she did at Worlds this season.

I've said for a long time Sasha needs a short program strategy that gives her to the mid to Upper 70s and that's it and then she can outscore everybody including KV in the free skate. If that was her strategy at Worlds she would probably be the gold medalist because Anya was not at her best and was ready to be beaten.

As much of a big story this is, I am of the opinion that competition is better for everyone.

I mean Eteri has had all of them before. Just not with such high stakes. But the year Anna, Sasha, and Aliona turned senior she also had Alina. That's 4 seniors. (And Kamila, Daria, Maiia, in juniors.) She was preparing for an international junior season with Anna, Sasha, Aliona, Daria P, and Anastasia T. (As well as that was an Olympic year so she also had Alina, Evgenia, and Polina.) We know how that year turned out and Anna got injured but...it's all the same people.

I mean Evgenia and Alina aren't coming back - at least not for the Olympic spots. (I don't think Alina comes back at all.)

As for Sergei, no, I don't think he comes back...lol.

For the record though, I don't think transfers are done haha..

These are adults with an established career, they won't uproot their entire lives because of some girls' whims. It is not a figure skating coach's business to follow the athletes around from club to club. Dima M. is working with the fishing rod at AoP's rink as we speak, if you believe insta.

The excitement and drama is just unbelievable for the offseason.

I know Sasha has been sponsored by Adidas for a couple years.

I think EG having legitimately six or seven outstanding senior ladies is a one-year thing and after the Olympic season a couple will leave.

Is she physically capable and Zhenya returns next season as well. If she's not on the level of the top girls so what.

I'm confused about why Sasha's return to TT is going so much smoother than alionas return to TT has.

Because they need extra coaches at TT now that's why. Good luck to the two coaches you named not having any success next season. That's very likely to be the scenario well the girls they used to coach go on to Olympic and worlds glory.

Well, I would mind, I'd rather he continues the work he's begun at AoP and builds up his own group.

Because they need extra coaches at TT now that's why.

They should have thought about that before taking on all these elite athletes. In fact, I am sure they did and have a plan to deal with all the talent on their hands. Though I predict not everything will go smoothly. There are bound to be disappointments for some of the Khrustalnyi girls this coming season.

I think it comes down to Sasha leaving wasn't a surprise for Eteri. She did it during the transfer window and it happened "properly".

She also returned "properly".

(Aliona on the other hand just stopped coming to practices, left after the transfer window, and then asked to come back when she didn't make World's. Aliona's departure caught them off guard - they had already started making programs for her and getting her ready for the season - they DON'T LIKE to be caught off guard.)

Also, I think some of it is they're not worried about Sasha's competitive drive and technical arsenal. (They were worried that Aliona didn't even have her triples stable, didn't have her 3A, and was injured/recovering from illness. Also they were worried about Aliona's work ethic - they can teach jumps - but work ethic especially in that group...)

I also think a small part of it is Aliona's candor and forthcoming personality as well as charm in interviews. (Eteri and Plushy too for that matter are too calculated and focused on PR.) (That doesn't apply to Sasha who is too shy or Anna who is too thoughtful of how something might be perceived for them to worry about that.)
