Anna-Flora finished 7th out of 10 in the SP, with a score of 44.16

Unfortunately I was running behind in what I was doing, and when I finished and checked the stream, it was two skaters after Anna-Flora. :palmf: And because you can't re-wind Sport Deutschland streams while they are on air, I had to wait until after it had finished broadcasting to play catch-up. So, to pass the time, I wrote this post first. Which is why it is longer and more detailed than normal.

Here is the sort of comment I would have written about the Warm-Up if I had been watching LIVE:

We missed the first half of the Warm-Up, because the skaters were sent out as soon as the last skater in Group 1 came off the ice. And the stream was showing the results area.

When the start order graphic was being shown, we saw Anna-Flora enter shot from below the camera, and go around the side of the graphic. She's still wearing her Danish team jacket, so should be easy to spot from a distance.

The graphic is partially transparent, so we saw her doing a jump behind the title line, and then move off just as the graphic disappeared. Unfortunately, they then started showing people in the audience.

But when they came back to the ice, we saw Anna-Flora lining up a jump. However, it ended up as only a small jump, as there were too many other skaters in that area of the ice.

After showing the Dutch team in the audience, we returned to the ice and saw Anna-Flora do another small jump at the far end of the rink. Meanwhile, they put up a small box in the corner showing the coaches, and Leonora was nearest to the camera. In the main picture, Anna-Flora took off her jacket, and headed out of shot, and then in the wee picture, we saw her handing it to her sister, and then they started talking.

When Anna-Flora moved off, we saw her re-enter the main picture and do what looked like was going to be a lovely jump, But then she had an awkward landing. In the wee picture, we saw Leonora nodding. It looked like Anna-FLora was circling around to do another jump, but then we started looking at people in the audience again!

When we returned to looking at the ice, Anna-Flora was right in front of the camera lining up a jump, but we only half saw it as she did it right at the edge of shot. It looked like she was going to go over to Leonora again, but she went right past her without saying anything. Anna-Flora circled around, and did another jump further into the camera shot. But this time, her legs were obscured by the box that Leonora was in!

Anna-Flroa then circled around again, and did a sequence of jumps. The first was done in the gap between the box and the edge of the shot, and then the second was done at the bottom of the shot, with her legs out of shot.

Then the Warm-Up ended, and we saw Anna-Flora coming off the ice. Curiously, Leonora headed away while little sister was still sorting herself out.

Here is the sort of comment I would have written when she was being introduced if I had been watching LIVE:

A week before we hopefully get to see her brother and his new partner in action at the Warsaw Cup, it is time to see my Danish daughter for the first time this season.

:cheer: ALL THE BEST ANNA-FLORA!!! :cheer:

And here is the sort of comment I would have written about her programme if I had been watching LIVE:

Anna-FLora wearing a very summery costume A cream blouse with red flower pattern, and a cream skirt.

Music sounds Brazilian.

Love the choreography at the start.

Beautiful combination jump.

Triple Salchow beautiful, and so was Camel Spin immediately afterwards.

Not great landing on Double Axel. But Flying Sit Spin afterwards was beautiful.

Loved the Step Sequence. She was really selling it!

And a beautiful Change Foot Combination Spin to finish with.

She is very happy. And so is Leonora. Such big smiles when they hugged after Anna-Flora came off the ice.

Awwww. Lovely photo being taken of the sisters.

Both of them are happy with the scores.

She goes into 4th position.

:cheer: WELL DONE ANNA-FLORA!!! :cheer:

There was one member who was commenting in the event thread. Our bastion of positivity, @Jeanie19, who said:

Looking at the Protocols, there were three elements with issues, but we are only told what the issues were with two of them. Why have they not developed some way of indicating what goes wrong with spins?

The first issue was with the second element, the Triple Salchow, which was under-rotated. It had the biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.69, which meant that it went from having the third highest GOE of the programme, to being the third lowest scoring element of the programme. It got -2 from all five Judges.

The next came with the fourth element, the Double Axel, which was downgraded. It had the second biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.55, and because it already had thr lowest Base Value of the programme, it remained as the lowest scoring element of the programme. It got -5 from all five Judges.

The last issue was with the fifth element, the Flying Sit Spin. it had the smallest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.10, which meant that it went from having the third lowest Bse Value of teh programme, to being the fourth lowest / fouth highest scoring element of the programme. it got -2 from Judge 2; -1 from Judge 1; and 0 from the remaining three Judges.

The opening element, the Triple Toe-Double Toe, got neutral GOE, but because had by far the higehst Base Value of the programme, it remained as the highest scoring element of the programme. It also got completely neutral Judges marks.

The third element, the Camel Spin, also got neutral GOE, and because it had the second lowest Base Value of the programme, it remained as the second lowest scoring element of the programme. It would have had all neutral Judges marks too, except that Judge 4 gave it +1.

The final element, the Change Foot Combination Spin, had the smallest positive GOE of the programme, at +0.12, which meant that it went from having the second highest GOE, to being the third highest scoring element of the programme. It got 0 from three Judges; +1 from Judge 4; and +2 from Judge 2.

The penultimate element, the Step sequence, had the biggest positive GOE of the programme, at 0.33, which meant that it went from having the fourth highest Base Value of the programme, to being the second higehst scoring element of the programme. It got -1 from all five Judges.

Anna-Flora is currently 0.05 behind 6th position, Anna Elizabeth GREKUL (DEU), and 1.99 points ahead of 8th position, Jolanda VOS (NED). The three of them are the bottom 3 skaters in a group of 4 skaters covered by 2.65 points, which is headed by Ina JUNGMANN (DUE) in 5th position, 0.66 points ahead of Anna-Flora.

Anna-Flora is in a good position. If she has a good Free Skate, there is the potential to not just move to the top of the group, but maybe even further, as Giulia BARUCCHI (ITA) in 4th position is only 3.05 points ahead of Anna-Flora. And even if she makes mistakes, the worst that would probably happen is that she would drop one position.

But, let's hope she has a good Free Skate and can move up.

:cheer: WELL DONE ANNA-FLORA!!! :cheer:

The Senior Ladies FS is due to start today at 12:00:00 CET (11:00:00 GMT). So 5 hours from now.

Anna-Flora will be the 4th skater to start. So, fourth and penultimate skater to go in Group 1.

The Group 1 Warm-Up is due to start at 12:00:00 CET (11:00:00 GMT). So 5 hours from now.

Anna-Flora is due to start at 12:30:00 CET (11:30:00 GMT). So 5h 30m from now.

But, those times may change if somebody that is due on before her withdraws.

Anna-Flora finished 6th out of 10 in the FS, with a score of 76.92. This meant that she remained in 7th position overall, with a score of 121.08.

Unfortunately I was not able to watch the final day of the NRW Trophy due to watching the final day of the MotoGP season. (I actually thought I could have watched Anna-Flora after the racing was over, but it turned out that I had opened the Time Schedule for the SP rather than the FS! :palmf: ) But, I have now watched her bits on the archived livestream.

Here is the sort of comment I would have written about the Warm-Up if I had been watching LIVE:

Because this is Group 1, the officials are being introduced during the first part of the Warm-Up. But, we saw Anna-Flora going into the middle of the ice just before we switched to looking at the officials and then go past in front of them a couple of times. They showed shots of the ice two times to allow the other camera looking at the officials to be turned. The first time this happened, we saw Anna-Flora taking off on a jump, while the second time we saw her landing a jump.

Oh drat! The Start Order graphic has appeared, and it didn't twig with me that Annika Lytchoff SKIBBY (DEN) was also in this group. So we have two blonde girls wearing Danish team jackets! :drama: But, this is where it has worked out better that I am not watching live, because I was able to wind forward and check what their dresses look like. Anna-Flora is wearing a dress that starts off as black at the top, but turns red as you go down. And has a blue section in the shape of a plunging neckline.

As it turned out, I needn't have worried. Skiby was wearing a blue jacket, which she kept on for the whole Warm-Up. And by the time the graphic disappeared, Anna-Flora had taken off her red Danish team jacket anyway.

We can see Leonora in the wee box in the corner again, although there are other coaches between her and the camera this time.

When the graphic disappeared, we saw Anna-Flora going down to the far end of the rink and then coming towards us lining up a jump, but she did it out of camera shot. She then went back down to the far end of the rink, and did the same again. And then over to talk to big sister, who demonstrated something, before Anna-Flora headed out again.

But then we saw her go back down to the far end of the rink and do a lovely jump there. And then she came back down to our end of the rink, lining up a jump, and did it out of camera shot again. But then she went back down to the far end and did another lovely jump. And then she circled around and did another down there, but this one didn't go as well. But then she circled around and did another jump, which went better.

When the 1 minute warning came, she started heading slowly towards this end of the rink, and I thought she was going to talk to Leonora. But then she went back down to the far end of the rink and did a beeautiful combination jump. And then as she was coming back this way, a beautiful Flying Sit Spin. And then a beautiful Layback Spin.

As soon as she completed the Layback Spin, in the wee box, we saw Leonora gather up the bottle of water, and leave. The skaters were then told to leave the ice, and between the wee box and the main picture, we saw Anna-Flora caming off the ice and putting on her skate guards.

Right, time for her fellow Dane.

Here is the sort of comment I would have written when she was being introduced if I had been watching LIVE:

Right, time for the youngest of my Danish kids (accompanied by the eldest of my Danish kids).

CaroLiza_fan

And here is the sort of comment I would have written about her programme if I had been watching LIVE:

Awwww. Lovely double low-5 between the sisters before Anna-Flora headed to her starting position.

Beautiful piano music. And then German vocals come in.

Beautiful Double Lutz for first element.

Backing choir comes in. And she does a beautiful combination jump.

Next combination jump was good, but not as good as the previous one.

Double Flip looked good, except for the windmill arms. Were they choreography, or a sign that the jump wasn't actually as under control as I thought?

Triple Toe definitely wasn't under control on the landing. But Camel Spin and then Sit Spin immediately afterwards were beautiful.

First part of combination jump didn't go well. But the second part did.

The Step Sequence and Choreographic Sequence amazing!

Beautiful Single Axel.

And a beautiful Change Foot Combination SpinSpin to finish with.

The choreography fitted in really well with the haunting music. Leonora did a great job with it!

Both sisters looked upset when they met up at the boards.

By the time they got to the results area, they were chatting and laughing away.

Anna-Flora waves to us.

Ah, they've been joined by skater #1, Annika Lytchoff SKIBBY (DEN), who is now wearing a tracksuit rather than her dress. She and Anna-Flora are having great craic!

Although they are getting less alike as they get older, you would still know that Leonora and Anna-Flora are sisters. But seeing Annika with them, you could be forgiven for thinking she was a third sister! She is so like Anna-Flora! To the extent that I wonder if they are actually related in some way. If they were cousins, they would have one of their surnames in common, wouldn't they? But they don't.

Anyway, Anna-Flora goes into the lead of both the FS and overall.

The two younger girls are delighted. Leonora is more serious.

:cheer: WELL DONE ANNA-FLORA!!! :cheer:

There was one member who was commenting in the event thread. Our bastion of positivity, Jeanie19, who said:

Looking at the Protocols, there were four elements with issues, three of them in a row in the middle of the programme.

In the third element, the Triple Salchow-Double Toe, the Salchow was under-rotated. It had the second biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.69, but because it had the third highest Base Value of the programme, it remained as the third highest scoring element of the programme. It got -2 from all five Judges.

The fifth element, the Triple Toe, was also under-rotated. It had the biggest GOE hit of the programe, at -1.45, which meant that it went from having the fourth highest Base Value of the programme, to being the second lowest scoring element of the programme. it got -5 from two Judges; -4 from two Judges; and -2 from Judge 1.

Unfortunately, the Protocols do not tell us what the issues were with the spins. The sixth element, the Camel Spin, had the second smallest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.31. It got -3 from Judge 3; -2 from Judge 4; and -1 from the remaining three Judges. Meanwhile the seventh element, the Flying Change Foot Sit Spin, had the smallest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.20. The Judges gave it two -2's; and three 0's.

There were three elements that were completely neutral in terms of both GOE and Judges marks. These were the eighth element, the Double Lutz-Half Loop-Double Flip; the penultimate element, the Single Axel; and the final element, the Change Foot Combination Spin. The eighth element had the second higehst Base Value of the programme, and it remained as the second highest scoring element of the programme.

For the remaining five elements, the GOE ranged from +0.12 for the fourth element, the Double Flip, to +0.50 for the penultimate element, the Choreographic Sequence. Apart from two +2's that Judge 1 gave (for the second element, the Triple Toe-Double Toe, and the ninth element, the Step Sequence), all the Judges marks for the elements with positive GOE were eithe 0 or +1.

Incidentally, the second element, the Triple Toe-Double Toe, had the second highest GOE of the programme, and because it had the highest Base Value of the programme, it remained the highest scoring element of the programme.

Anna-Flora finished the Free Skate 12.29 points behind 6th position, Anna Elizabeth GREKUL (DEU), and 0.18 points ahead of 8th position, Ina JUNGMANN (DEU).

Overall, Anna-Flora finished 0.48 points behind 6th position, Grekul, and 16.67 points ahead of 8th position, Jolanda VOS (NED).

This programme is a masterpiece! The best programme I have ever seen Anna-Flora given. Leonora is a genius to come up with it. When Anna-Flora does it completely clean, it is going to be show-stopping! Even with mistakes, it already is!

I am suddenly feeling that this is going to be a good season for Anna-Flora.

Danish Championships Senior Ladies SP: Results; Protocols

No video uploaded yet 😞

Anna-Flora finished 2nd out of 4 in the SP, with a score of 39.99.

Unfortunately I was not able to watch the Danish Championships, as I was concentrating on the Grand Prix Final and the final round of the Formula 1.

Looking at the Protocols, and there were three issues, two of them at the very start. Anna-Flora singled her opening element, the Salchow, which meant it got invalidated.

The second element, the Double Axel, was downgraded. It had the biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.51, and because it already had the lowest Base Value of the programme, it remained the lowest scoring element of the programme. The Judges gave it three -5's and two -4's.

The fifth element, the Flying Sit Spin, had the smallest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.35. It had the joint third highest Base Value of the programme, which meant it became the third lowest scoring element of the programme. The Judges gave it two -2's and three -1's.

For the remaining elements, the GOE ranged from +0.23 for the third element, the Camel Spin, to +0.52 for the sixth element, the Step Sequence. Apart from a -1 from Judge 1 for the fourth element, the Triple Toe-Double Toe, and +3 from Judge 2 for the aforementioned Step Sequence, all the Judges marks for the elements with positive GOE were in the 0 to +2 range.

Incidentally, the aforementioned Triple Toe-Double Toe had by miles the highest Base Value of the programme, and because it had the second highest GOE of the programme, at +0.42, it remained as the highest scoring element of the programme.

Although the invalidated element meant that Anna-Flora had the lowest total Technical Elements Score of the field, she had the highest total Programme Components Score of the field.

Anna-Flora is currently 0.10 behind 1st position, Babeth Martha Maria-Louisa Franziska HANSSON (SOS), and 1.23 points ahead of 3rd position, Selmasiri Bella LARSEN (HI). The field is completed by Annika LYTCHOFF SKIBBY (TSK) in 4th position, 5.37 points behind Anna-Flora.

When the entire field is covered by 5.47 points, anything can happen. Any of the four skaters can finish in any of the four positions. However, in all probability, it s more like a shoot-out for the three podium positions. So Anna-Flora needs to put in a good Free Skate to make sure that she either climbs to 1st or maintains her 2nd position.

So let's hope she does have that good Free Skate!

:cheer: WELL DONE ANNA-FLORA!!! :cheer:

Anna-Flora finished 1st out of 4 in the FS, with a score of 90.06. This meant that she climbed up to 1st position overall, with a score of 130.05.

Unfortunately I was not able to watch the Danish Championships, as I was concentrating on the Grand Prix Final and the final round of the Formula 1.

Anna-Flora finished the Free Skate 13.50 points ahead of 2nd position, Selmasiri Bella LARSEN (HI), and 14.76 points ahead of 3rd position, Babeth Martha Maria-Louisa Franziska HANSSON (SOS). The field is completed by Annika LYTCHOFF SKIBBY (TSK) in 4th position, 16.73 points behind Anna-Flora.

Overall, Anna-Flora finished 14.66 points ahead of 2nd position, Hansson, and 14.73 points ahead of 3rd position, Larsen. The field is completed by Skibby in 4th position, 22.10 points behind Anna-Flora.

Well, after seeing Anna-Flora do this Free Skate programme at the NRW Trophy, I knew it was going to serve her well. And boys it did. She achieved her third highest ever Free Skate score here. The only other times she has got an FS score in the 90's were in the autumn of 2022, at the Efterårskonkurrencen and at Nationals.

Anna-Flora finished 3rd out of 5 in the SP, with a score of 39.15.

Unfortunately, I was not able to watch the Dragon Trophy, as I was concentrating on Four Continents.

Looking at the Protocols, and there were four issues, but we are only told what three of the issues were.

She fell on the opening element, the Triple Salchow. It had the biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -2.15, which meant it went from having the second highest Base Value, to being the second lowest scoring element of the programme. Unsurprisingly, it got -5 from all five Judges.

The second element, the Double Axel, was downgraded. It had the third biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.55, and because it already had the lowest Base Value of the programme, it remained as the lowest scoring element of the programme. It also got -5 from all five Judges.

The fourth element, the Triple Toe, was landed on the quarter, and she fell. This meant she couldn't attach another jump onto the end of it like he intended. It had the second biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -2.10, which meant that it went from having the highest Base Value of the programme, to being the fourth lowest scoring element of the programme. Unsurprisingly, it got -5 from all five Judges.

The fifth element, the Flying Sit Spin, had the smallest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.26. This meant it went from having the joint second lowest Base Value of the programme, to being the third lowest scoring element of the programme. It got -2 from two Jduges; -1 from Judge 5; and 0 from two Judges.

For the remaining elements, the GOE ranged from +0.23 for the final element, the Change Foot Combination Spin, to +0.55 for the penultimate element, the Step Sequence. Because these two elements had the second and third highest Base Values of the programme, they became the highest and second highest scoring elements of the programme. The Judges marks for the elements with positive GOE ranged from 0 to +2.

Anna-Flora is currently 5.90 behind 2nd position, Michaela VRAŠŤÁKOVÁ (CZE), and 10.46 points ahead of 4th position, Defne Günce KILIÇ (TUR).

As it stands, there is a two way battle for the top two positions; a two way battle for bottom two positions; and Anna-Flora is in no-mans land between the two battles.

It is unlikely that Anna-Flora will finish anywhere other than third position. So, she can just go out there and concentrate on trying to get a new Absolute Season's Best score. Or even a new Absolute Personal Best score.

So, let's hope she has a good Free Skate, and can do just that!

The third element, the Triple Salchow, was under-rotated. It had the biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -1.72, which meant it went from having the third highest Base Value of the programme, to being the third lowest scoring element of the programme. It got -5 from all five Judges.

The fifth element, the Double Toe, was called as an invalid element.

In the eighth element, the Double Lutz-Half Loop-Double Flip, the Double Flip was landed on the quarter. It had the smallest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.42, and because it had the highest Base Value of the programme, it remained as the highest scoring element of the programme. It got -5 from Judge 4; -2 from three Judges; and -1 from Judge 5.

The penultimate element, the Single Axel had neutral GOE, which meant that it went from having the lowest Base Value of the programme, to being the second lowest scoring element of the programme. It got -1 from Judge 5; and 0 from the remaining four Judges,

The remaining elements had GOE ranging from +0.06 for the fourth element, the Double Flip-Double Toe, to +0.70 for the final element, the Change Foot Combination Spin. The aforementioned final element had the second highest Base Value of the programme, which meant it remained as the second highest scoring element of the programme. Apart from s -2 from Judge 1 for the seventh element, the Flying Change Foot Camel Spin, all the Judges marks for the elements with positive GOE ranged from 0 to +2.

Anna-Flora finished the Free Skate 12.51 points behind 2nd position, Flora Marie SCHALLER (AUT), and 12.60 points ahead of 4th position, Defne Günce KILIÇ (TUR).

Overall, Anna-Flora finished 22.11 points behind 2nd position, Schaller, and 23.06 points ahead of 4th position, Kılıç.

Well, after Anna-Flora was in no-man's land between two close pairings overnight, ultimately the whole field ended up well spread out.

Anna-Flora finished 16th out of 18 in the SP, with a score of 31.32.

Unfortunately I was not able to watch the Nordics as I was concentrating on the Silver Skate Winter Cup. However, the livestream has been archived, so I will catch up on it when I have the chance.

Looking at the Protocols, they are not pretty. Granted, she got positive GOE on her final element, and neutral GOE on her penultimate element. But everything before that had negative GOE. Three of her jumps got downgraded.

I'm not going to go through the elements. It'll take too long.

Anna-Flora is currently 1.27 behind 15th position, Meri MARINAC (HRV), and 3.79 points ahead of 17th position, Lena Rut ÁSGEIRSDÓTTIR (ISL).

With the way the gaps are, one position higher is probably the best Anna-Flora can get. But, with there being breathing space behind her, she can concentrate on going for it!

So, let's hope she has a good Free Skate, and can get that Top 15 position!

:cheer: WELL DONE ANNA-FLORA!!! :cheer:

The Senior Ladies FS at is due to start at 11:15:00 CET (10:15:00 GMT). So 4 hours from now.

Anna-Flora will be the 3rd skater to start. So, third skater to go in Group 1.

The Group 1 Warm-Up is due to start at 11:15:00 CET (10:15:00 GMT). So 4 hours from now.

Anna-Flora is due to start at 11:36:30 CET (10:36:30 GMT). So 4h 6m from now.

Anna-Flora finished 11th out of 18 in the FS, with a score of 74.74. This meant that she climbed to 14th position overall, with a score of 106.06.

Unfortunately I was not able to watch the Nordics as I was concentrating on the Silver Skate Winter Cup. However, the livestream has been archived, so I will catch up on it when I have the chance.

Looking at the Protocols, there were four elements with negative GOE's, but we are only told the reason for three of them.

The opening element, the Triple Lutz, was downgraded. It had the biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -1.05,which meant it went from having the fourth lowest Base Value of the programme to being the second lowest scoring element of the programme. It got -5 from five Judges; and -4 from Judge 5.

The third element, the Triple Salchow, was also downgraded. It had the second biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.65, and because it already had the lowest Base Value of the programme, it remained as the lowest scoring element of the programme. Like the Triple Lutz, it got -5 from five Judges; and -4 from Judge 5.

The fifth element, the Triple Toe, had the smallest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.32, and because it had the third highest Base Value of the programme, it remained as the third highest scoring element of the programme. The Judges gave it four -1's; and two 0's.

In the eighth element, the Double Lutz-Half Loop-Double Flip, the Double Flip was landed on the quarter. It had the second smallest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.42, and because it had the second highest Base Value of the programme, it remained the second highest scoring element of the programme. It got -2 from all six Judges.

The sixth element, the Camel Spin, and the eleventh element, the Single Axel-Single Toe, both had neutral GOE. Apart from a +2 from Judge 4 for the Camel Spin, all the Judges marks for these two elements were in the -1 to +1 range.

For the remaining elements, the GOE ranged from +0.07 for the seventh element, the Flying Change Foot Combination Spin, to +0.74 for the second element, the Triple Toe-Double Toe. This second element already had the highest Base Value of the Programme, so remained the highest scoring element of the programme. Apart from a -2 from Judge 4 for the aforementioned seventh element, all the Judges marks for the elements with positive GOE ranged from -1 to +2.

Anna-Flora finished the Free Skate 1.65 points behind 10th position, Selma VALITALO (FIN), and 0.81 points ahead of 12th position, Babeth HANSSON-OSTERGAARD (DEN). The three of them are the top 3 skaters in a group where 4 skaters are covered by 2.62 points, which was completed by Oona OUNASVUORI (FIN), 0.97 points behind Anna-Flora.

Overall, Anna-Flora finished 4.05 points behind 13th position, Hansson-Ostergaard, and 0.79 points ahead of 15th position, Kristina GRIGOROVA (BUL).

I under-estimated her. I believed that one position higher than the SP was the best she could achieve. But she actually finished two positions higher, thanks to finishing the FS ahead of FIVE skaters that had been ahead of her in the SP.

It's such a pity she was starting off on the back foot after the disappointing SP. But, if she can get both programmes clean, she'll do well.

Anna-Flora finished 8th out of 10 in the SP, with a score of 35.95.

Here is what I wrote about the Warm-Up in the competition thread:

Here is what I wrote when she was being introduced:

And here is what I wrote about the programme:

Looking at the Protocols, it was definitely a tale of two sections. The first five elements all had negative GOE, and the final two elements had positive GOE.

The first element, the Triple Toe-Double Toe, had the second biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.95. But because it had the highest Base Value of the programme, it remained as the highest scoring element of the programme. It got -3 from two Judges; -2 from three Judges; and -1 from Judge 4.

The second element, the Triple Salchow, was under-rotated, and she fell. It had the biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -1.72, which meant it went from having the second highest Base Value of the programme, to being the third lowesst scoring element of the programme. Unsurprisingly, it got -5 from all six Judges.

The fourth element, the Double Axel, was downgraded. It had the fourth biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.55, and because it already had the lowest Base Value of the programme, it remained as the lowest scoring element of the programme. It also got -5 from all six Judges.

The fifth element, the Flying Sit Spin, had the third biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.75. It went from having the third lowest Base Value of the programme, to being the second lowest scoring element of the programme. It got -5 from Judge 3; -4 from Judge 5; -3 from three Judges; and -1 from Judge 1.

For the remaining elements, the GOE ranged from -0.05 for the third element, the Camel Spin, to +0.18 for the final element, the Change Foor Combination SPin. The Judges marks for these three elements were all in the -1 to +1 range.

Curiously, one of the Judges called her for a Costume / Prop violation. But, none of the others voted in agreement.

Anna-Flora is currently 5.22 points behind 7th position, Julija POLNIUK (POL), and 0.46 points ahead of 9th position, Catherine-Charlotte LAPIERRE (POL).

Unfortunately, there is little chance of Anna-Flora moving up. However, she needs to have a good Free Skate to make sure she does not lose a position to Lapierre.

So, let's hope she does have a good Free Skate.

:cheer: WELL DONE ANNA-FLORA!!! :cheer:

The Senior Ladies FS at is due to start at 16:52:00 CET (15:52:00 GMT). So 10 hours from now.

Anna-Flora will be the 3rd skater to start. So, third and middle skater to go in Group 1.

The Group 1 Warm-Up is due to start at 16:52:00 CET (15:52:00 GMT). So 10 hours from now.

And that is as much as I can tell you, because the Time Schedule PDF's are not working.

Anna-Flora finished 8th out of 10 in the FS, with a score of 66.36. This meant that she remained in 8th position overall, with a score of 102.31.

Here is what I wrote about the Warm-Up in the competition thread:

Here is what I wrote when she was being introduced:

And here is what I wrote about the programme:

The only other member who was commenting in the competition thread at this stage was our bastion of positivity, Jeanie19, who said:

Looking at the Protocols, although only three elements had positive GOE, it was the first two elements of the programme that did most of the damage.

The first element, the Triple Lutz, was under-rotated. It had the biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -2.36, which meant that it went from having the highest Base Value of the programme, to being the sixth lowest scoring element of the programme. It got -5 from five Judges; and -4 from Judge 1.

The second element, the Triple Toe, had the second biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -2.10. This meant it went from having the third highest Base Value of the programme, to being the fourth lowest scoring element of the programme. It got -5 from five Judges; and -4 from Judge 5.

The third element, the Triple Salchow, was downgraded. It had the fourth biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.65, and because it had the joint second lowest Base Value of the programme, it became the lowest scoring element of the programme. It got -5 from all six Judges.

The fifth element, the Double Toe, had the second smallest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.49. This meant it went from having the joint second lowest Base Value of the programme, to being the second lowest scoring element of the programme in it's own right. The Judges gave it four -4's; and two -3's.

The seventh element, the Flying Sit Spin, had the smallest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.30. This meant it went from having the joint sixth highest Base Value of the programme, to being the sixth lowest scoring element of the programme. It got -3 from Judge 3; -2 from Judge 5; -1 from three Judges; and 0 from Judge 6.

In the eighth element, the Double Lutz-Half Loop-Double Flip, the Double FLip was under-rotated. It had the third biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.74, which meant that it went from having the second highest Base Value of the programme, to being the highest scoring element of the programme. The Judges gave it three -4's; and three -3's.

Three elements had neutral GOE: the fourth element, the Double Flip-Double Toe; the sixth element, the Camel Spin; and the penultimate element, the Single Axel. For these three elements, the Judges marks ranged from -1 to +1.

For the remainiong elements, the GOE ranged from +0.30 for the final element, the Change Foot Combination Spin, to +0.63 for the tenth element, the Choreographic Step Sequence. Apart from a -1 from Judge 3 for the aforementioned Change Foot Combination Spin, all the Judges marks for the elements with positive GOE were in the 0 to +2 range.

Anna-Flora finished the Free Skate 0.34 points behind 7th position, Julija POLNIUK (POL), and 1.76 points ahead of 9th position, Catherine-Charlotte LAPIERRE (POL).

Overall, Anna-Flora finished 5.56 points behind 7th position, Polniuk, and 2.22 points ahead of 9th position, Lapierre.

As I said at the time, her jumps just weren't working on Saturday. But, everybody has days like that at some stage or another. Hopefully everything will go smoothly the next time we see her.
