Camille and Pavel finished 7th out of 8 in the SP, with a score of 54.81.
Unfortunately I was not able to watch the skating LIVE, because I was watching the coverage of the Qualifying for the Formula 1 Sprint Race. However, I did watch the Warm-Up and their programme the next morning.
Here is the sort of comment that I would have written about the Warm-Up for the competition thread if I had been watching LIVE:
Big cheers for Camille and Pavel when they were introduced. They were wearing their team jackets, but Pavel was wearing dark grey trousers, while you could see a greyish-white shiney dress poking out from under Camille's jacket.
Oh, boys. If that was Pavel's waist that we saw cross the shot very close to the camera when they showed Ekaterina Geynish for the first time during the warm-up, his top is a lot wilder than his bottoms. Pea green.
It was! We saw both him and Camille in the next shot! And her top is pea green too!
We got to see the costumes in their full glory when the camera focussed on them. The part of Camille's dress covering her shoulders and bust is pea-green, while below her bust is greyish-white. Pavel's T-shirt is nearly all pea-green, apart from the area over his right shoulder, which is grey-ish white. As I said, his trousers are dark grey.
It is a sight to behold!
Nice throw.
Side-by-side jumps not really in sync, but they did have to delay doing them because Geynish crossed their paths when they were lining them up.
Ah, Mark telling us about Pavel's ankle surgery. That probably explains why they turned up in Dundee with programmes that had such low total Base Values. They didn't want Pavel to exert himself too much for what was essentially just an early season run-out.
And he also says that they are now training at this very rink.
Towards the end of the Warm-Up, they showed Camille adjusting her laces on her right boot. I hope they don't cause bother!
Well, hopefully Pavel is a lot further on in his recovery than he was a couple of weeks ago, and is able to do more now.

And here is the sort of comment that I would have written about their programme if I had been watching LIVE:
Big cheers and shots of the audience with French flags just before Camille and Pavel were introduced.
That sounds ominous. Mark said it is similar in style to their old Billie Eilish programme.
Ach, it's that slowed down version of "Toxic" where all the life is sapped out of the song.
Good Triple Twist Lift to start with.
Thank goodness. The real Britney has arrived!
Triple Toe out of sync, and hand down for Camille.
Premature landing for Camille on the Throw Triple Lutz. She was facing the wrong direction.
Beautiful lift! And so was the bBackwards Outside Death Spiral.
Another change of music for the Step Sequence. And we've gone weird. Well, it's allowing them to have a bit of fun.
And back to the slowed down "Toxic" for the Change Foot Combination Spin at the end. Well, at least the element was good, even if the music wasn't.
Well, that was actually better than I expected, given everything that happened before this.
This programme is so them!
Slowed-down "Toxic" aside, I actually enjoyed that programme.
They are happy! Camille is full of beans. Pavel is visably exhausted, but what do you expect?!
They go into 3rd position.
WELL DONE CAMILLE AND PAVEL!!!

Inevitably, there were a LOT of comments about their costumes during the Warm-Up. I won't quote them all, but I especially liked this one from our resident video archive list compiler:
It's not easy being green....Kermit the Frog
@CellarDweller clearly had the same thought, posting:
And then, in reply to
@labgoat, added:
I swear, I posted my gif before I saw this post! LOL
Good fun!
When it came to their turn,
@labgoat posted something that made the penny drop for us all:
That green is the color of a toxic waste spill, toxic also happens to be the name of the music.
My good friend
@elektra blue replied:
coincidence? i don't think so
And to prove the point,
@labgoat then added this:
Finally,
@EdgeCall posted this in reply to
@elektra blue:
Maybe they try to magically force the TES box. Didn't work.
Which brings us to the skating. Our bastion of positivity,
@Jeanie19 commented:
Kovalevs. I will love their costumes, if they glow in the dark. Good program. A few mistakes, but finished strong.
The bit about the costumes got two replies. Firstly
@labgoat said:
And then
@auser said:
They are certainly memorable and eye catching.
Back to the actual skating, and
@EdgeCall said:
Nicely atmospheric, but the mistakes will hurt them.
Italian member
@bartlebooth's comment was similar:
Messy but no disaster, I'll take that.
While Dutch member
@ladyjane wrote the perfect summary:
Camille and Pavel always have such intriguing programmes. They seem to be back on track (despite all the surgery issues and the choreography ones).
I was wondering what the choreography issues were, but then American member
@moonvine said something that explained everything:
I feel so bad the French couldn't afford a choreographer. That's rough.
Wow. I didn't realise that. That makes the programme all the more impressive!
Camille and Pavel are currently 5.93 points behind 6th position, Rebecca GHILARDI / Filippo AMBROSINI (ITA), and 13.31 points ahead of 8th position, Aurélie FAULA / Théo BELLE (FRA).
Being realistic, unless something really dramatic happens in the Free Skate, they are going to finish in 7th. But, having big gaps on either side of them is a good thing, as it allows them to do things at their own pace and not worry about anybody else. That is the perfect situation to be in for somebody who is recovering from surgery.
WELL DONE!!!
