Would you be ever so kind as to provide me with a link showing exactly where Patrick supposedly said "That is such bull----!
If Yuzuru doesn't try a 3 quad FS throughout the season and suddenly adds it for Worlds it has the potential to go very wrong. He needs to adjust himself to the quad: how to save his energy, which entrance works best for him, what to do in case of pops to avoid zayaking, etc. It's best for him to try to get used to it than risk inconsistency (even more in this field) at the biggest event of the year just because he didn't go for it at other competitions. Besides, I doubt he'll wear himself out, it's not as if he goes to too many competitions per year: just NHK, GPF (if he makes it), Nationals and Worlds are left, it's been 2 years since he last went to 4 CC, I don't think he'll be there this year.

He said it in the KnC when he got his marks. They had very good microphones in the KnC which picked up lots of interesting comments. I don't think that remark meant he was mad at himself, however......

Worlds? In 2016? Hanyu is not so short-sighted!
He is preparing for 2018 Olympics!
He may not need that 3rd quad now, but he will by 2018. Maybe even a 4th
To make it stable and reliable by then, he is right to incorporate it into his programs now...!

He was clearly referring to his own skate and was responding to his coach mentioning that his goal is Canadians not Skate Canada.

Thank you so much for providing the link. I agree with the following poster (Ittravel92) that he was referring to his own skate. Imo "His angry outburst on seeing his SP score of 80.81 (he fell on the 3a and doubled the lutz) "That is such bull----!"" by Chuckm is either an embellishment or flat out lie.

IMHO, one cannot be sure of what exactly he was referring to, since he didn't say "My skate was ---" nor "This score is ---".
As for the opportunity of saying "bad words" when there's a mic on, some people are more sensitive than others regarding this issue.

Nit picking and negative spinning is what haters do to justify their extremely biased perception and to influence others. Fans can be critical of different aspects of a skater's performances and it does not make them haters. Haters ignores everything good the skater does on and off the ice, but zero in on any and every scrap their can misconstrue and blow up. Interestingly they follow their object closely, often more so than the fans, in order to find nit piking opportunities. Negative obsession and virtual stalking are worse than petty, they are driven by irrational hatred.

Recently, I learned a new term - "to conflate". It is defined as combining two or more sets of information into one and often used as a political tactic to cast aspersions on an opponent. There is a clear attempt to confuse and mislead. Using angry outburst (imo it was frustration, not anger), labeling it as a reaction on seeing his sp score, and then tying in (That is such?)bull----! to infer that someone is a ungracious loser is conflation. I'm not nit-picking here, just fact-checking.

Well, Hanyu also landed a quad toe and two triple axels, mind you. But yes, Chan imploded with the door left open by Hanyu. But it's not like Hanyu's gold-winning skate was a complete mess.

I was curious about this "reputation" of Patrick's, but what I heard was a visibly upset Patrick referring to his skate as " so frustrating...""ridiculous"...at the k & c and when the scores were up, he winked at his fans, and when his coach said something to console him, "remember what I told you...hey, listen to me...", etc. he replied.."I know..but..it's bs...", it's not right to take the "bs" out of context.
If he had been pleased with his performance and changed his demeanor when he saw the score, then it would seem like he was upset by the score.
Please, there had been a horrible fan-flamed war between Mao and Yuna, let's not repeat this with these two talent skaters. I want to see them push each other to greater heights of technical and artistic brilliance, in a positive, not ugly way.

The latter, obviously. But chuckm is a Chan basher, so it's not surprising to see them take a line like that out of context and attempt to vilify such an "outburst".
Chan knows he had an SP disaster so that technical score should have come as no surprise to him... and that PCS score (which was slightly too high anyways), wasn't anything anyone in their right minds would get upset about and refer to as "bs" (I don't think he's deluded enough to think his program deserved 47 PCS or something like that). He was obviously frustrated with his own skate, and maybe even his own coach for trying to pacify him when it was clear he really really messed up.
