Maybe Hanyu will show up with 4 quads at Pyeonchang.

Showing up with them, maybe but executing them will be incredibly difficult. Although for his first attempt at 3 quads, Hanyu did an awesome job. And evidently, he can even touch down and receive 0/+1 GOE.

Sharing Meoima post here

I don't know where to share, but...

Yuzuru did spread eagle 4S spread eagle in gala practice: https://www.facebook.com/frances.kao.14/videos/1083542791678888/

And not just 4S, here is his spread eagle-3 turn-4T-spread eagle, video also by Frances Kao

Of course he did these moves just for fun and those jumps look a bit tight in my eyes. But I wish if only one day he does one of these in competition.

I am sure he will definitely not go for 4 quads unless his he will become unable to land lutzes completely :cool14:

2 quads SP, 3 quads +2 3A FS, I think it will be what he stays at.

And I want to see that crazy spread eagle-quad-spread eagle thing he did in SP. Never thought I am going to see quad done from spreaad eagle :dance2: let alone two diffrent quads done from spread eagle.. :shock2:

Nit picking and negative spinning is what haters do to justify their extremely biased perception and to influence others. Fans can be critical of different aspects of a skater's performances and it does not make them haters. Haters ignores everything good the skater does on and off the ice, but zero in on any and every scrap their can misconstrue and blow up. Interestingly they follow their object closely, often more so than the fans, in order to find nit piking opportunities. Negative obsession and virtual stalking are worse than petty, they are driven by irrational hatred.

Totally agree!

On a side note, Vincent Zhou just posted his change edge spread eagle 4S on his ins recently. Check it out, he also posted many other crazy jump combos.:cool14::dance2:

Hanyu is a great skater but he should pace himself his technical content is too much, chan is pacing himself he will add the second quad at nationals, if hanyu continues like that he will have nothing left for worlds he needs to take the third quad out he does not need it.

Lol, what. What kind of "advice" is that. People who don't advance technically get passed by those who do and lose important stuff. Like Olympics.

Maybe Hanyu will show up with 4 quads at Pyeonchang.

I don't think this is likely, he doesn't have enough time to develop that. It will probably take him season 2015/16 to get the the 3 quad LP stable, then he'll focus on a 2 quad SP in 2016/17 (thought I think it's not impossible for him to try to switch one of his 4Ts to a 4Lo) and the layout will remain mostly unchanged in 2017/18 since the Olympics year is not the best time to introduce drastic changes.

thank you so much for sharing this hug... they all look so happy and liking each other... it looks very genuine... and I HOPE IT WILL FINALLY put an end to all the verbiage about them not liking each other... athletes at the highest level usually have the deepest respect for their colleagues.

...so I can have more Chanyu moments like this (without Dice and others spoiling it)?

Tell that to Plushenko (who was mainly about technical) vs Lysacek (who didn't advance technically for the Olympics but improved his overall skating).

Ugh, I think it was a sad moment in Vancouver with Plushy and Evan. So many great skaters but they did not perform when they counted and they got a winner who was a great competitor but not special and a silver medallist who seemed to be fading and had not moved forward. I know we cannot live for the what ifs but had Chan not been injured he may have had his quad and consistency. Lambiel may have got it together, Dai had skated more on. Hanyu and Chan are special and amazing. I just wish Chan would improve technically and get a coach so he could be his very best like Hanyu. I don't think Chan can compete. As for Chan adding a second quad in the freeskate okay folks I think he just popped it to a triple at Skate Can - is he working on a quad sal or flip? Or solidifying the axel and lutz and adding another 3A at least. He is so far behind Hanyu.

dice is an asset in this hug no?:) he's so smiley

I think Dice showed the most forbearance and sportsmanship of the 3. It's just my opinion of course, but he skated his heart out and made the fewest mistakes over both programs and he got a score much less than what he was hoping for. But if he will keep going and improving at this rate he'll get the judges attention soon enough. And he's such a nice guy.

so far behind yet ahead .... kathy is responsible for chan skating well in the FP... she helped him to reach "the zone" and his jumps were perfect.. why would he need a jump coach when he skates like this? he needs someone who helps him reach the zone... that's all...
