Dancers [Routhier and Saucke-Lacelle] Overcome Injuries in Successful Season

Canadian ice dancers Karen Routhier, 18, and Eric Saucke-Lacelle, 19, made great strides during the 2008-09 season, even though they battled through injuries. Routhier endured year-long pain in her left leg which limited her training time.

This team seems to be on the rise. It sounds like they have a strong support team.

This item caught my eye:

Kelly Johnson, Tyler Myles and Tessa Virtue choreographed their 1930s-style original dance for the 2008-09 season, using music by Bette Midler.

Yes, it caught my eye too. I found the choreography of their OD rather generic, so it's surprising it took 3 people to put it together.

For those wanting to see the OD, it's on icenetwork.com. : Go to the Schedule, pick Jr Worlds, and then teams 16 through 30 for the OD. Their performance is at about the 52 minute mark.
