She doesn't say YES and she doesn't say NO. It's just another tease about skating. But I'm happy she is enjoying her campus life.

Actually, she has also never won the Four Continents.
 
I think most US skaters dream of winning Nationals, Worlds and Olympics and perhaps throw in the Grand Prix Final. :yes: :p I don't think NHK and 4C's are what drive them competitively for the longer term. I don't neccessarily consider them championships of the top shelf caliber because the best of the best aren't neccessarily competing there. They are nice stepping stones, though.

Anyway, nice article about Michelle. Glad that she's enjoying her life.
 
There was some speculation over at the MKForum that one of the reasons she chose Denver was to be near her alleged boyfriend. But I haven’t heard anything else about that.

It really makes me happy to see that she is enjoying this new part of her life and I love that she's making the most of this experience. I'm also delighted that she is still talking about skating. Obviously she hasn't gotten the memo about her career being over. :p
 
Great article thanks for posting. Whatever her plans are for the future I hope she finds "Kansas City" at the end of the yellow brick road.
 
I don't think Kwan means to tease us with not say Yes or No to 2010...I think she is just smart and savvy enough to know that it would not be wise to make a final commitment now, then change her mind. I think she is well aware of how people publicly perceive her and does not want to do anything to disappoint people or herself.

It seems to me that she has a real grasp on her private life and how she lives it ect and her public/skating life and how that is to be held in respect - I don't mean to imply that she lives this dual life, but I think she accomplished one of her main goals - to be the best skater and she wants to be respectful of it and the fame/fortune and responsibilities that comes with it.

I hope she tries for 2010....even if she doesn't make it, I don't think it would hurt her image - I think it might solidify it. Aside from being known as America's Best skater and perhaps one of the top 3 in the world, she is also known as a fighter and someone who skates for herself - and the joy that it brings to her brings great joy to others. If sharing that joy with others while trying to make 2010 results in no medal or no Oly berth, I still think the ride she would take us on would be well worth it - if only to see the quality of her character. :p

On another note - she says he had to do her laundry and remarks that her place in LA was always spotless....she's earned the money, so she ought to hire a cleaning lady or housekeeper to take care of those things. Or - perhaps she just wants to be more like the "average" college student.....

Just my thoughts...

thanks for posting. I think she knows that she ownt skate in 2010, but why get everybody talking? also if my some chance she does... everybody will be saying "WHAT???" So this wasy she's safe. any smart politian's move. :thumbsup:
