I wanted to add an honorable mention for Zanforlin/Degli Esposti, the roller skating world champs turned pair skaters!
Kudos to them for finishing in the top ten and as the top Italian team!

Wow, I didn't notice that ! I watched their performance from 2006 roller championships and they were really good !
And the fact that they are already skating well on ice (like you said they are) is really remarkable, because the jumping technique is different, you can't really have deep edges, the extra weight on your feet, etc.
Great for them !!

I'm watching the Eurosport transmition now. What bothers me more than the splatfest is how sloooooooooooooooow they are. Some of them almost stop in their spiral sequences.
