Seriously though what's with all the drinking comments? Of all the things I've heard about Plushy (and there are many), I've never heard this particular accusation before. Are they mixing him up with Yagudin?

Sigh, I should disengage, I did promise myself not to go to the Russian sports sites. Grumble, grumble.

As far as I know, Plushenko never gave rise to such accusations. Perhaps the stereotype just works here - since something is wrong with the gastrointestinal tract, then this is a consequence of drunkenness. Some commentators mentioned that Eugene's face was red, but this is not serious, of course.

By the way, during Zhulin's recent "benefit performance", many people also assumed that his statements, which became more and more absurd every day, were also caused by a large amount of alcohol. So that's the standard explanation for anything.

As for some people... There are people everywhere, whose first instinct whenver something bad happens to someone else, is to leap to the conclusion that it MUST be that person's own fault. Saves them the trouble of having to feel compassion.

I'm rather sleep deprived and having 1001 emotions right now after the wash up from the women's event.

I'm at work but can't concentrate.

I wish, I hope she can go back? Plushy recently said wrote some stuff in an article that was really ill-advised but I think his heart is in the right place. Dima M would certainly be honoured to train Sasha again.

Sasha won a competition today!

It was only a small one with the rather unwieldy name of the Tournament for Prizes of the USSR and Russia V.N Kudrayvtseva. He was in the 3rd Category.

I don't know where to start to break the dead silence here.

It is really a big shame that Plushy's angels have lost some precious opportunities to shine at the world arena. Putting their basic human rights aside, those states demanding Russians be banned from competing should at least produce some competitive skaters of their own, otherwise, what are they trying to strive for from such extreme sanctions? They are not only killing this sport intentionally, but also depriving many ordinary people of their rights to continue following this sport with their pure love and passion. Life is short indeed, let alone the skating career of these innocent Russian skaters.

Dear moose, your regular lovely reports on Plushy and his AOP have been read and appreciated by so many fans all the time, including me of course. Will you please keep the ball rolling as you used to do? If my request is a little hard for you, then just forget it.
