Figure skaters Look-alikes

Oh yeah I've been meaning to mention this, but there's this DVD at the library where I work with a guy on the cover who looks just like Sergei V to me!

Apparently it's only that particular angle because I looked up the actor Jack Lowden and otherwise he doesn't look like Sergei.

Still I get a kick out of it when it pops up during reshelving or whatever. :laugh:

You know what I am finding interesting - seeing different skaters getting suggested for the same people.

It makes you look at the various skaters in a different light, and realise that there are similarities between them that you never noticed before.

For the benefit of newcomers to this thread, here is your earlier suggestion of Grace Kelly and Gracie Gold:

I admit that I hadn't seen any pictures of Grace from when she was a youngster until I went looking there now. But, seeing these photos, you can't argue – Alexandra is just the picture of her grandmother!

Another fun lookalike popped up at the library while I was cleaning my desk. Among all the debris there was a sticker sheet from a book and one of the characters from the Judy Moody books bares a striking resemblance to Plushy :laugh2:


Apologise for the quality, I forgot to take a photo of the sticker at work and this was the best I could find on Google. :biggrin:

I just watched A Christmas Story (which is my Christmas day tradition really) and remembered the impression I always had every time around -

Liza Tuktamysheva and a young Annette Whiteley.

I watched the film "Girl On Approval" (1962) yesterday, and as soon as I saw Annette I thought of Liza.

Here is a screenshot of Annette from early on in the film:

Now, I know her hair is longer than Liza's. But, she got it cut mid-way through the film. And once she did, the likeness was striking!
